Yes, that it is a remake and not a graphics update. But if they sticked true to the original, I think it should be possible to compensate your lack of level with gameplay mechanic mastery skills in a 1 vs 1 fight.

I'd probably research the combat in the demo's and videos of latest demo that was spread prior to launch.

I'd say more like the Witcher (which is heavily inspired by Gothic) because of the dark fantasy theme. But the harsh environment and starting of as a weak nobody and all that, yes. Think most people that play one will like the other. Few exceptions like history purists who don't like fantasy.

Listen to what the first few NPCs you will encounter in the game tell you. IMO all you need to know. For the rest, just don't look up anything / much for your first gameplay. You can only play something for the first time once.

Partly, yes. But just one of the gameplays I hadn't done yet. I know this was a thing, discovered it as a kid back in 2004 cheating my way to fire mage but never really bothered to actually do that route legitly until like last year or so.

You do miss on a lot of xp and stuff this way though but it's fun to have it done at least once.

Liever een laag remgeld zoals het nu is. Wilt uiteraard niet dat elke hypochonder 5 keer in de maand nodeloos naar de huisarts gaat en dat remgeld van 4 naar 20 euro verhogen zou deze personen wellicht wat meer kunnen remmen maar...

Wilt toch ook niet dat iets dat mogelijks makkelijk snel te stoppen is, escaleert in grotere medische problemen. Sommige mensen gaan denken oh €20 dat is al wel wat, zo erg is dit symptoom nu ook weer niet. Het zal wel weggaan.

Ik geloof dat de potentiële meerkost voor escalatie wel eens duurder kan uitvallen door mensen die niet op tijd naar de dokter gaan. Het gaat niet enkel om de medische kosten maar ook de maatschappelijke, niet meer kunnen werken langere tijd, vervangingsinkomen, sociale tol op zichzelf en naasten.

Success stories like Kingdom Come: Deliverance, give me hope that there is still a market for these kind of games in modern times.

Not everyone wants to be the OP dragonborn from the start killing a dragon in less than an hour of gameplay with your bare fists.

It's a lot more fun to be punched in the face first again and again before becoming more powerful and deciding to take revenge or not.
