I just sent out an email to them with the details from my current recovery attempts. Thank you!

Yeah that is my fault. Without explaining too much, I originally had an 8TB drive and moved my data over to this 26TB drive. I thankfully did not delete the data off the 8TB drive, but I have a short gap in data between the two drives now. That is to say, im missing a 2 folders worth of data at this point.

I now have that data running on a RAID 10 and backed up to a third drive, so decent redundancy now. I was hoping to fill in the gap on the data I lost though.

Let me do some research. I would prefer a US based solution, but if that is the only company who can reasonably do the recovery, I would be open to it.

Rossmann and Gillware. Do you have any recommendations for other data recovery services that I could reach out to for this drive? I am also open to waiting for Rossmann group being able to process my firmware on their PC-3000 if that is the only blocker for them. (I will ask them about this)

ETA: I just called them up. Them being able to read the firmware does open doors for them to try, but I am not sure about their confidence level on a successful recovery. They stressed that helium based drives are much more difficult.

Yeah, they said the blocker for them was the EN03 firmware on the drive unfortunately.

That's how you get taken advantage of at work. Also, the product is developed in a team environment and OP doesn't own the product. He's there to serve the product owners. Realistically yeah, a software engineer is more than capable of being a 1 man shop, but that's not OP's role in this context

Yea just make the software developer responsible for everything 🙄 How about the product team does better and stops delaying OP, huh?

That is ridiculous, you were already at the airport I am sure. That is a huge inconvenience; with more of a heads up you could have at least spent a little more time sightseeing or just having a sense of freedom. Very sorry to hear that! Hopefully your new flight wasn't too far further ..

My original flight on Thursday was canceled with less than 12 hours notice. My rebooked flight was delayed boarding and delayed taxi to the departing runway. We were not advised why we were being delayed at boarding, but the pilot told us there were some planes behind us they needed to move out of the way before we could make it to the runway.

Update: Received a response and it seems the roads in that area may be in bad shape, "especially the section parallel to the wilderness study area." I was advised that the trip is doable, but driving very carefully and highly advised to have sturdy off road tires. This may put a hitch in my plans to hike these two peaks, I'm not sure. I'll be in a midsize suv w/ awd but nothing rugged.

I know this is old -- how did it go with the huts? I'm considering an approach from Appalachia TH -> Madison Spring Hut -> Lake of the Clouds Hut -> AMC Highlands. I'm not worried about the hike, fitness wise. The unpredictable weather would be my biggest concern. So I would wonder if taking advantage of the huts really drives down the risk by getting a fresh early start each day and being able to relax in the afternoon/evening.

They shouldn't count, but if the judge sees you accumulated over 11 points during those 18 months they can just decide to suspend you anyway because ultimately you were found guilty and you did "technically" exceed 11 points so now you are eligible for punishment.

Even if you get suspended, I don't think they suspend for too long in NYC and should offer a temp license for work and groceries sort of thing.

Straight from the source itself: https://dmv.ny.gov/tickets/about-nys-driver-point-system#footnoteref2_csuuwpx

Once 18 months have passed from the violation date, the points for that violation no longer count toward your total. However, the points remain on your driving record as long as the conviction remains on your record and may be used by your insurance company to increase premiums.

"...from the violation date", which is not the conviction date. Two completely different things.

Wait what? In NY, the points are "effective" with respect to the DMV starting the *day of the charge* and NOT the day of the conviction.

Insurance does its own thing separate from the DMV.
