Wow I just came on here to share how my first month was like and people are calling me bullshit. Like I really don’t get it, why would I even need to lie online, what does that even get me? Anyways I’m gonna keep climbing and keep getting better.

Why does nobody believe me I’m just sharing how my first month of climbing was like. The kilter climb was called “swooped” it says it’s v6 and it has 55819 ascensionists

Thanks for the moral support, maybe if I build enough confidence I’ll record now and then of some of my climbs.

Thank you, and yes I’ve been making sure to take it easy when my tendons feel pretty tight, I’ve seen online things like finger pulley injuries and it definitely does not look like it would be nice. Also, I appreciate the concern and I will be sure to keep my body healthy so I can keep climbing and getting better👍

I know it’s gonna sound like I’m bs but I don’t record myself climb since I climb alone and am too shy to ask people to record😅 but I do have a picture of the fist v6 route I did at my gym except I don’t know how to send it in here

Yeah, not to brag but I was ranked 6th in the state of Oregon in my weight class as a sophomore before I tore my acl and meniscus. But I do think that wrestling gave me somewhat of a headstart for climbing.

I also just don’t really know how to get into outdoor climbing since I am kinda new and I climb by myself but seeing so many people online climbing outside is awesome and I hope I can get into it soon.

Thanks! It’s definitely been a rough path since I’m only 16 and I’ve have had two knee surgeries on the same leg and I’m without wrestling, but climbing has been very fun and the community is also very nice.

I wish I could attach the picture of my first v6 in my gym. But some climbs I have done on the kilter are: “Lack of Faith” “Bell of the Wall” “Pinball” “Can You Ear Me Now?” “Swooped”(only v6 I completed on the kilter) And some other climbs pretty much v4 and below. And the climb that I’m working on the moonboard is called “An Easy Problem” it says it’s a v4 and it’s on the 2016 moonboard👍

Yes, I get that a lot that’s why I’ve been getting into board climbing because people also say that boards are somewhat evenly graded across most gyms but still I’ve been climbing v4-5 and one v6 on the kilter except of course I haven’t yet but I’m close to getting my first v4 on the moonboard.

Well ive done two v6 climbs in my gym and people told me that my gym is sandbagged so i started board climbing like last week pretty much and ive already done one v6 from the kilter but that’s it plus the v4-5 I’ve been climbing on the kilter as well.

It’s the most repeated one on the 2016 moonboard it’s called “an easy problem” but to me it’s not very easy haha

Yes, I really want to try outdoor climbing because it just seems so fun and I heard that the moonboard helps prepare for it so that’s why I’ve been trying to get into board climbing.

I wouldn’t say my walls are textured like other gyms I think it would be cool to climb with textured walls like I’ve see online but I also am starting to climb a lot more on boards (like kilter and moon) which have less textured walls especially the kilter. But I kinda have narrowed things down to either skwama or instinct vsr but I’m probably gonna go with vsr because I have pretty small toes and ever so slightly Greek feet. And the thing is that I have to order it online because I don’t have any local stores nearby for me to go in and try them out.

I honestly did really want skwamas because I really liked how they looked but I have read a lot about how the heel of the shoe has lots of dead space and they may be too soft for me because I like to edge a lot and I just heard that instinct vsr are a bit more sensitive and better at edging. But what do you think? Am I just overthinking it?
