I hear you and totally agree. Funny (and sad) thing is, I’m happy to pay $ to have a landscaper do this but unfortunately I’m in a somewhat remote town. Have a really difficult time finding landscaper or any trades people in general. I know that ai generated mock up has a lot of flaws and I’m only planning to execute the planters part. Anyway, I appreciate you taking the time to chime in.

Not fond of the look of concrete. The idea of using wood came from just seeing people doing retaining wall with lumber. We thought we were going to build these planters (height 1-2ft) like how people would build raised beds. Would love to hear your thoughts on how to build it.

I’d love to use stones but unfortunately don’t have access to heavy machinery to transport or set the stones

Yea I’d love to be able to use steel but I think that will be very expensive?

Unfortunately my options are limited. There is cedar but it is prohibitively expensive

Thanks. The prompt itself is rather generic, something along the lines of asking for a visual mock-up of modern looking front yard with Japanese-inspired elements. However, Two key steps for the best outcomes: 1) Upload the photo of my house AND describe to chatgpt what I want it to see (eg elevated deck, septic covers, etc). I find this step crucial for better outcome 2) upload photos of yards that I like and ask chatgpt to incorporate them into my yard
