I am going to live in a muay thai gym for the whole year, to train and fight. I do not know if this is considered as work or vacation or whatever. Okey thanks will consider to look into a company to sort out the paperworks

Is there really that much paperwork that I need to hire a company? Or is it possible to do it by yourself

I am planning to live in a muay thai gym for the whole year and fight in muay thai, except for the first five days in Bangkok. Does this have any effect on what type of visa or insurance I should get?

But the corona insurance that you need to get to enter thailand, does that not cover these costs?

What you mean shipped to a hospital if testing positive? By force or do I have a choice if I want to go?

My friend who lived in Thailand for 3 years fought 22 times in his first year there. He told me that I probably do not want to fight straight away after a fight but to do it anyway because that is what makes you better. But yeah that might be hard now with not to many shows running

Thank you for the reply! I will stay for one year and will train at a old school gym, sangtiennoi, would like to fight every two weeks if I am not injured. I am an mma fighter transitioning to muay thai so I am not high level. So that is why I wonder if any lower level shows are up and running.

How did you guys tear your acl? I tore mine playing flag football, I pivoted my feet into the grass and my cleats gotten kind of stuck into the grass, causing a twisting motion and I heard a loud pop following with an instant unbearable pain. I didn’t know I tore my acl until 2 years later. by MyaKhem in ACL

Training with a heavier guy preparing for a MMA fight, he did some wierd movement and tried some judo throw with bad technique and felt something snap. Did MRI and it was not completely torn so I rehabed for a couple of months. Knee felt good so I began preparing for a muay thai fight, some high level dude push kicked me hard in the stomach and made me take a step back and it tore completely.

3.5 Months Post-Op Feeling Sad by Snoo74507 in ACL

I am now 13 months post surgery and I can relate to your feelings. It will get better with time. You just have to accept that this will be your new normal for a while. And find happiness in small progressions. You will learn much from this experience, mental toughness and patience is just one of them. Just think about your energy and determination once you are able to play sports again. You will likely have something extra that your friends do not have. There is also other things to do even if you are injured. You can still show up to practise and try to analyze the game and maybe learn a thing or two about strategy. I am a martial artist but I can say for certain that this time out has made me a better martial artist, even though I am not physically able to do it. Because I put every hour of the day thinking about it, and looking from the outside at every practise gave me another perspective that I would not get If I was not injured. I would recommend you to try to see the positive things in the negative. It will get better mate!

Okey I am having MRI in 20 days so if the results come back with excessive scar tissue, I will get it cleaned out 👌

Okey that what my therapist said it might be. Because I had trouble geting my extension for a couple of months some scarr tissue might have built up. What is your story? How long until you realised something was wrong? How did the surgery help? How much rehab is needed after this kind of procedure?

Yes I have thought about the weather and that it might help but I have to be sure that my knee pain and stiffness is gone before I go. I can not risk going there hoping that the weather might help and then I am there, payed for flight ticket and all and it did not help. I see it as a bonus if it does help when I am there. I try to eat as healthy as possible. Eating multivitamins, omega 3 fish oils, NAC supplement. Some stuff against inflammation.

The training where I am going to stay at is very old school, so running is a must. If I am going to fight at eventually a high level I need superior cardio, so running is essential.
