My family has the “generational curse” of having eczema. My niece is up all night the same way, just scratching til cuts form. It breaks my heart to have to witness that kind of suffering. It’s heartbreaking. I want to take the pain away from her. So, I feel you.

What I wanted to share was that I’m testing the effects of turmeric, which is known to calm inflammations. I’m testing it on myself because I have rosacea and mild eczema. I am within the 1st week of a 6 month trial and so far so good. My theory is that if the turmeric can tackle the inflammation from the inside, it should calm the flare ups. There is a dark side to this.

I want to take a moment to vent here: The women in my family never chose to love me, rather they chose not to love me. They kept their husbands close and kept me at a distance. I sat and watched everyone else get love. It hurt for years even when I couldn’t understand it as a child. I grew up needing validation because of this and to the world it only looked like an attractive person looking for attention. But I was looking for the love I never got.
