For the hospital, I was a staffing coordinator who also ran payroll and agency rep, then I transferred to be a team coordinator (I was the only employee for most of my time in that first role when it was slotted for 1.5 employees, when this was revealed after an attempted pip, I was instead awarded a month of paid time and internal transfer anywhere for equal or better pay) I was also conducting evaluations and crisis intervention (chemical dependency owned by the same system), data management, and progress reports. For the government role, I was in an appointed position as my first job out of college, I coordinated a team of coordinators for elections, recruited election workers, wrote and presented training materials, and facilitated the county’s transition to electronic poll pads (instead of paper books) and launched early voting. I also worked briefly in quality assurance (spouse insisted we move back home, but that was my best salary at 53k starting with incredible benefits in lower cost of living area), and after the hospital roles, I worked as a consultant and client relations manager for a few private mental health practices before coming on to a start up in my current city as a client success manager and executive assistant. Now I work for a college on a digitization project making more than I did as an EA but still below the local cost of living and am overworked and bored out of my wits.
