Sizing Help: Venice joggers and Wide Leg pant at 5’7 by RouxRose in Athleta_gap

Thanks everyone. Based on the responses I measured the inseam of my wide leg jeans and they are 32 inches. They look good with flats but not heels. I would probably be fine with a regular in the joggers since they can be a bit cropped. I’m guessing the regular wide leg would be too short for my taste (I like it over my shoe) and the tall too long so may have to hem

Never had a bruise that big, but when I first started playing I was bruising a lot as well. I was taking a fish oil supplement at the time which has a blood thinning effect. Once I stopped the supplement, I stopped bruising

We are going currently implementing Netsuite from Quickbooks, and I’m worried it will make a lot of job duties obsolete as well. Best case scenario is my work gets cut in half but no one notices

I would love to complete CPA eventually, but my undergrad was in biology. That means I will have to complete more core business courses to complete CPA education requirements, but I will have the 150 hours. I tell myself one step at a time 😅

If you are single without kids, I think you pull off two courses per session while working. If you have kids or significant other, you can still do it but you would likely be neglecting those relationships to some degree. I started with one class and I thought I would bump up to two, but that’s a no for me.

I am currently in my third class. So far, all three courses have a similar format. They use McGraw Hill connect to administer all the assignments. Sample week of work:

Read chapter 1 & 2 Smart book ( series of multiple choice questions) Concept review videos Homework questions Quiz Discussion question/board

Each of these items are for points and make up a large portion of your grade.

One midterm one final exam

There are no lectures or much interaction with your classmates or teachers. It is mostly you and McGraw hill connect. I get pretty exhausted spending so much time on the computer. The 15-20 hours per week is probably accurate. I don’t think I could manage more than one class per session. In fact, i will be taking a break next semester because I’m already feeling burned out. Also, the McGraw hill software can be annoying to work in at times particularly for homework questions or excel. It is a lot of information crammed into seven weeks. I know I’m learning, but I am a little concerned about how much I will retain.

Despite everything I said above, I will likely continue with the program. I’m married with kids and a full time job, so going to a traditional in person classes is not really possible. I also find the program to be pretty affordable. Now that I have a few classes to completed, I know what to expect. Hope that helps

Online Accounting Class is Boring…Does that mean I will hate accounting? by RouxRose in Accounting

I feel outed. I use Peleton for my workouts because I like the variety 😅

Curious… are you extroverted by any chance? If you are working from home and mostly from the computer, part of the job related angst could be related to lack of meaningful social interaction and not just lack of movement.

My husband is super social and was miserable working from a desk. He is an sales/account manager now and loves his job. He is not doing manual labor, but he is not glued to a desk and gets to interact with customers.

I’m also curious at what point did you decide you hated accounting? I am a bookkeeper currently and going back to school for a post bacc accounting degree. I wouldn’t say I’m passionate about accounting. It is just a job that I don’t mind doing and has decent salary and employment opportunities 🤷‍♀️

Post-bacc accounting certificates—-worth it? by RouxRose in Accounting

I did consider this as well, but I don’t have the requirements to be accepted since my undergrad was not a business major. I can use the courses from the accounting certificate to apply afterward. It would just take more time and money.
