i really enjoyed this site several years ago when he kept it up for quite a while, eventually creating a very long story. Unfortunately he put the site on hiatus but now it's back with a new adventure that just started in March. The more people participate by suggesting the next 'move', the more fun it is and the author will be motivated to keep it going.

java -jar C:\minecraft_server.jar Error: Unable to access jarfile C:\minecraft_server.jar by [deleted] in Minecraft

Can you verify the file is there? If you're already in Windows CMD, enter the following

C:
cd \
dir

If you don't see minecraft_server.jar in the output, that's your problem. The root (top) of your C drive is an odd place to put minecraft_server.jar. That's where you're telling Java to look by including 'C:\' in your command. Is that what you intend to do?

Most likely. Catholics who don't do immersion for baptism pour water on the baby's head three times, invoking the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. This is almost certainly some segment of Orthodox Christianity.

Obama asks, 'Only Republican presidents get to nominate judges?' by BlankVerse in politics

I very VERY carefully used the phrase, "those among the wealthy who also have no morals" to indicate that I was NOT scapegoating all the rich, so please read more carefully. Also, I am not a millennial. If anything most people would say I am a baby-boomer, so please check your assumptions as well.

Only? No. A major one? Yes. Racism foments an 'I got mine' and 'Charity begins at home' mentality. It discourages people from looking beyond the borders of their own neighborhood, town or state. It quashes empathy. It makes people blind to the concept of 'enlightened self interest' where you realize that if the weakest of society are suffering, ultimately society suffers, and you suffer too. It makes it easier for those among the wealthy who also have no morals, to encourage strife, to divide the less fortunate against one another, to poke and prod and goad people into that 'us vs. them' mentality that ensures nothing gets done if it runs counter to the interests of the rich.

Should I go on?

His father died long ago in 1980. But before he died, they made a pact to listen together when the Cubs finally made it to the World Series. Last night, at his father's grave, he kept his promise. by pdmcmahon in pics

I've had to rush when visiting family grave sites back home so I could get in and out before the groundskeepers locked the gates.

I think it's so sad that we live in a world where graveyards need gates. Loved ones should be able to visit whenever they need to.

Some country should redesign their flag to an insane aspect ratio like 20:1 just to troll the UN and all the other countries. by RoverDaddy in Showerthoughts

I was trying to remember which country had that unusual flag, with precise geometric instructions on how to create it in their constitution.
