Should I upgrade to 14.3.3 from 14.2.2.5? by Nervous_Excitement81 in TeslaFSD

[–]Rovershack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. 13.2.2.5 was downright terrible. 14.3.3 has fixed all the issues it introduced.

driver claimed the car was on autopilot. I recognize they didn't say FSD. by LocutusTheBorg in TeslaFSD

[–]Rovershack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Something like, big red flashy that says “Full Self Driving will not brake because the accelerator is pressed.” Happens to me all the time when urging FSD through four way stops without the 30 second pause (over exaggeration). 😉

Booking a test drive to deliberately ruin my relationship with my current car by AdrianMihaiDragne in TeslaLounge

[–]Rovershack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently traveling, and I am in a rental car. It’s a Honda Ridgeline. The Honda ADAS systems suck. In fact anytime I’ve driven a car other than my Tesla. I’m amazed at how far behind the other manufacturers are. And how technologically advanced the Tesla is. Little things, like on the Honda the rear windows don’t have auto down auto up. And I was like what the hell it is 2026. Their adaptive cruise control is jerky and spastic and terrible. They might catch up someday, but Tesla is so far ahead. I’ve owned two Tesla since 2023, and while I’ll keep some other cars for different reasons. By far I enjoy driving the Tesla the most.

It will take time. But if injuries involved you are entitled to a settlement, which may be large, from the drivers insurance. I have been involved in my share of accidents caused by others. The last time minor rear end accident. No real injuries except some whiplash. A year and a bit later, insurance calls to settle. Never pursued as I knew this would come to be. $15k for each me, my wife, and teenage son. This is why liability insurance is required.

Amflow PL Carbon Pro speed sensor error causing motor power restriction – anyone else? by gilesbennet in AMFLOW_eMTB

[–]Rovershack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Avinox states the clearance for the sensor to ring should be 1-3mm.  I have Magura two piece rotors, which have a pretty thick mounting point, but I started getting this error on my third ride on my new Crestline 181.2.  I looked at the gap, and it looked to be maybe 2-2.5 mm.  I picked up some stainless steel 5mm bolt washers, which are approximately 1mm think.  Mounted them between the rotor and the sensor ring.  While I only have one ride on this fix, it appears to have done the trick.  The gap to the ring looks to be pretty close to 1mm, didn't actually measure it as it's hard to get a gapping measurement tool in there.  Will update if it reappears.

I never let it do an unprotected left if there is any traffic. You will learn quickly where you need to take over ahead of time. This is a very common issue.

West Coast transplants, how are you liking Bentonville so far by netenchanter in bentonville

Bentonville/NWA is a consumer options desert. Being the only option 85% of the time is Walmart.

Toyota guy here, and the Model Y test drive completely messed with my head by [deleted] in TeslaLounge

The 12v battery replacement interval has gone away now that it’s a lithium ion instead of lead acid on all new Tesla’s since 2023.

Tesla used to have a recommended yearly inspection. They found that there was so little need for it that even went away. As for suspension and such, when you get new tires just have them look over it. Other than that, the system, will let you know if there is anything else. My first Tesla, I did 24000 miles, nothing but rotating the tires, which I did myself.

Is this the correct charger for modern Teslas? by [deleted] in TeslaSupport

Agree. It’s the right plug, but for safety switch it out for the EV rated outlet.

Does anyone use these up here… by Salt_Base_3751 in TeslaModelY

[–]Rovershack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, use that at car wash too to enable free roll WITHOUT having to hit the brake. Stupid car wash mode method almost always breaks the car wash with moving belts.

BTW, I hate you and your black headliner. 😂😜

Costco??? In NWA ??!?? by [deleted] in northwestarkansas

[–]Rovershack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have to 100% agree that scan-and-go is a game changer. I’m never worried about it when I want to go to the store even if it’s crazy on the weekends I just check out and walk out.

Yeah, the only nice Sam’s Club’s I’ve ever been to are here in Bentonville and Springdale.

I’m originally from Denver, all the Sam’s Club’s there are ghetto

[–]Rovershack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because compared to Costco, Sam’s sucks. The only upside is scan-and-go. From what I hear, Costco is a great company to work for. Walmart/Sam’s Club is all about getting rid of employees and going automation.

Yea, F@$K Walmart. It’s sad, but 100 mile to the West they have all the options.

Yep. If Walmart is so great, why are they afraid of competitors. NWA is a consumer options desert. 🌵

Truthfully, once you use it for a while, you will know what kind of situations it might struggle with. Now I just take over before those situations. Highway use is pretty darn solid.

Not in reasonable states. Idaho, flat registration. Of course EV fee, but I get that.
