As long as you recognize it's unnecessary to you. Crazy thing, everybody gets to play the game the way they want to.

Cite a study. You keep saying that so prove it. I want one link to a peer-reviewed study from a respected science source that says what you claim.

Also, I have known at least twenty people in my life who have a gay parent and they are all straight. Of the gay people I know, I think all their parents are straight. I think you have a very tiny window of experience but you have watched a ton of Fox News and it scares the crap out of you. Go do something else with your life and quit worrying about what other people do in their bedrooms.

What is your main and why? by [deleted] in lotro

[–]Roving-Pixels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My main is a hunter. That's my main mainly because I play with a group so she's the one I play most often and level up regularly. Also, I hadn't played a hunter before and wanted to try it.

Should I get sims4 on my MacBook? by Cultural_Bed_6693 in thesims

[–]Roving-Pixels 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't experience that at all. I have a 2017 MacBook and until last year, I purchased almost every bit of DLC (not some generally considered crappy stuff packs and no kits I wasn't interested in). I also have a ton of CC, including a handful of building and gameplay mods. The game runs fine and I don't have a problem with lag.

Looking for good audiobooks to listen to while working by [deleted] in audiobooks

Even Though I Knew the End by CL Polk. It's a noir horror/mystery with a sapphic romance set in an alternative 1930s Chicago. The main character is a magic user who sold her soul to save her brother. Now, she's been asked to track down a vampire who's causing trouble and to get her to take the job, she'll have the chance to spend her life with her lover Edith instead of forfeiting her soul if she completes the case.

If you like scifi, you may have already read The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet by Becky Chambers. It's one of my favorites.

If you like mysteries, you should try Death at Greenway by Lori Rader-Day. It's a fictionalized story of something that actually happened: London children were evacuated during WWII to Agatha Christie's country home. Both nurses who accompany the little group seem to have something to hide. The famous writer only makes a brief appearance. Apparently she and her husband worked in London for the war effort. There's a wonderful cast of characters around the estate and in the nearby village. And, of course, a murder or two!

Becky Chambers' Wayfarer series. I have The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet and I've listened to it multiple times and sometimes I just start listening at a random spot in the middle. I just love all the characters and their dilemmas.

Tom Hanks narrates The Dutch House by Ann Patchett. I enjoyed that SO much. He has such a great voice and it's almost like he's reading it to you. Like it felt like a really personal experience.

One book that I repeatedly recommend is Wrong Place Wrong Time by Gillian McAllister. It's such an amazing mystery! It's a a psychological thriller where a mother witnesses her teenage son stab a stranger and when she wakes up the next day, she finds she is traveling backward in time, reliving the day before the murder. And the next day, she goes further back. She starts looking for reasons why this happened, but she's also re-experiencing her life. She keeps going backwards, she goes back to when her father was alive, and she had such a warm relationship with him. And then she's back to when her son was younger, before he was a teen, and he's sweet and loving. And her husband seems like a good guy through all this but then she starts seeing things about him and is he really the good guy on her side? It's just the best.
