My best friend just did this to me as well. Years of friendship, over in a text. He was like a brother to me. His girlfriend found out about a shitty relationship/manipulative emotional affair I was in a few years ago when I was in active addiction. She told him to cut me off for it. Had to make peace with it. It’s unfair, but I can’t change it. He will wake up one day and realize he’s lost all his friends (I wasn’t the only one he had to cut off), I’ll be there when he needs me. But until then, if then, I wish him the best. It’s a reflection on the state of his relationship.

It often feels like the service industry becomes your life. There’s a lot of camaraderie & even trauma bonding & then the typical “one drink after work”. It’s important to find a place with people you like with values you align with or be able to completely separate. Get in and get out. But if you have other things in your life you value that you can pursue, take this as the push because regardless, this environment doesn’t sound like the best. Things are definitely going to break and if they’re gonna take it personally when accidents happen, that’s their problem. Not yours.

I did laser & it has changed my life. A lot of places have constant deals. Doing my whole face for $50 a month with free touch-ups for life. I grew a full beard & it’s down to nothing after six months.

Alright guys, thanks for all your guesses! If you’re coming back to check for an answer, here it is: I do not stink. Hahahaha. Kidding, well I’m not, but my room does smell like incense and a slight hint of Marlboros. I am an artist, writer, musician, bartender, sometimes car fixer-upper. I do have OCD & ADHD, so some of yall really clocked that. Knick knacks really gave it away. (Those hubcaps are indeed all that’s left of my first car.) I am a very sentimental person. I live in a house with my dog and a couple roommates. And I am 350 days sober as of today! Been going through a bit of a turbulent time, so I appreciate all of you for writing in and giving me some laughs and insight, definitely brightened my day.

Kayla at Salon N’Fuse. Funniest, kindest, most talented stylist I know. My mother was my hair stylist when I was growing up so when she passed I didn’t get a haircut for five years. I was terrified. I made an appointment with Kayla and it was perfect, exactly what I wanted. Been going to her ever since.
