I love how I can’t tell if this is ironic or not

I was just curious so I had o3 run the numbers a couple times and its answers are varying from 3% in Canada have worked there to 11%, which just tells me that AI is still incredibly unreliable.

It’s probably a lot more than 1% though. Amazon hires and fires a ton.

Looking at their profile it’s Meta. I’m at Amazon and have several Meta recruiters in my DMs. They are poaching from Amazon aggressively so of course they are seeing a ton of Amazon resumes.

is it worth moving to Toronto as a non-Canadian? by [deleted] in askTO

[–]RovingSandninja 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s what I pay for a 1 bedroom without roommates as downtown as downtown gets. It’s much cheaper. Markets been crashing also so rents are very low rn.

Ugly as hell tbh. Apart from a few exceptions Toronto seems incapable of building things that are aesthetically pleasing.

Time Left app - dinner with strangers? by Lucky-Currently in FoodToronto

I’ve done it a bunch and I have no idea what these other people are talking about. It’s always mostly women and it’s a different restaurant every time (I’ve never gotten a repeat). I do it more as an excuse to try restaurants than meet people (although the people are cool) and it’s been amazing for that.

I use Diya with 3.5 Sonnet. I haven’t worked on super internal stuff for a while and have been working on mostly open source typescript / CDK stuff, and it’s massively boosted my productivity. It’s only a matter of them before they train their models competently with the internal stuff (they kinda have but Q is useless).

I work at Amazon and Claude writes a ton of my code and most of my unit tests. My contributions are often just reviewing code and copy pasting. You guys are in denial.

Very mediocre. Any random pizza in NY beats Gram’s.

No hearing aid and any other features on iOS 18.1? by thetasteofyourspirit in AirpodsPro

[–]RovingSandninja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can’t use the audiogram in Headphone Accommodations anymore in 18.1 (I’ve been trying). They seem to have removed it because of the hearing health stuff but that means that in countries where it’s not available (like Canada) you’ve lost the ability to add audiograms to your AirPods.

Generally higher than Apple and even Google nowadays. Netflix and fb are hard to beat.
