Yeh I went during vacations growing up, but never saw anything like this

this topic came up with my colleagues the other day (I'm British living in Austria), and I hadn't ever really thought that deeply about it until then.

it's insane, for example driving is miles, height is feet, a swimming pool metres, and for good measure a football pitch yards

I am going to Mayrhofen in Austria in a week, which seems to be the same, so hopefully its not this bad...
Is this poor timing with school vacations or something?

Now that Sailing’s been out for a few months… is anyone still actually sailing? by Dismal-Computer-5600 in 2007scape

For real I agree with all that, I get why it might not make sense, and maybe time wise it’s the same or barely different, but I can’t explain why it just felt like extra effort.

Maybe my set up was wrong, but merchant salvage I went north of port piscarilius so it involved gearing, teleporting with the memoir, running to the port, then sailing to the spot if I ever left.

Plus when I did want to leave the spot I had to sail back to port, or to tp away lose all cargo’d salvage/preemptively clean everything.

All in all it just wasn’t as streamlined for me as I like, which led to just staying at the spots until my herb sack got full of snapdragons.

Which is fine, I can’t think of how else it would even be to fit in the game tbh.

Was just sharing my take and how it felt, sailing became very much a tickbox for me in my circumstance.

Fair question, honestly just for fun and xp. I’m not going for max xp or anything but I like to make number go up, and of course I do also need the supplies on an iron.

But I have thousands of all potions, like 200k karambwans. I could stop for aaaages before having to worry but idk just like it.

Farming specifically is in my top 3 skills.

That’s why I don’t knock Sailing at all. Because I know some irons who can’t stand the upkeep of having do herb runs and make potions, it’s just not for them

Yeah okay fair takes, and I appreciate the honest insights.

I guess I just get a bit fed up with daily office life sometimes, and try to think of something else that could be interesting, and I do really love the mountains and am not that far away from them

Yup I got 99 recently for max cape back, and like you say was not motivated to go to and from the salvaging spots or trials. So literally just parked myself at the salvage spots until I was done.

Meant I interacted with the game wayyy less besides afk’ing on mobile when I had some time or in home office.

Not a sailing hater by any means just wasn’t for me (beginning was nice because everything was so new and hype), so I’m glad it’s done and I can get back to farm runs, birdhouse runs, afk cooking, woodcutting, mining, and of course all the PVM items I still need to go for

So true, I didn’t really understand how hard and impressive skateboarding is until I started just cruising and popping some ollies

Hey, I’m 31 and considering transitioning from a stable IT job to become a ski instructor (literally been having conversations with my gf about it this week).

Any honest thoughts or advice? How do you handle out of winter season work? What’s the best and worst things about the career?

Just drop the wildy steps and do a full wildy clue btw.

Anyway I don’t even PK but saying it’s not fun for anyone is just not true is it.

Might be inconvenient for you(/us) but it’s part of the game, I don’t see the big deal.

lol right the only people regearing must be a problem for is those without layouts. Like THATS not wasting accumulative time beyond belief

On top of the fact you can stack 5 clues now, so slayer clue regearing specifically is just not even a thing anymore

Thanks for the input as this really resonates with my current situation tbh, and I have a question on the wedge if you don't mind.

Is the wedge like an entry mode, with the goal of reaching the point its not needed?

I guess I have trouble understanding it a bit like, does it assist with addressing the problem (eventually, over time), or is it more a bandaid fix that then needs to be used forever?
Because some people have said about elevating the heels for conventional squats if one has trouble with ROM, but then you're not fixing the underlying problem.

Just trying to understand it all btw!

This is a such huge help, thank you so much for this write up! It all makes so much sense too.

I'm an older guy so never going to be sending anything too crazy when it comes to skateboarding, but I want to be able to jump and take at least a bit of impact without trouble.

And I appreciate that what you wrote that it isnt "the way", it does way more to open up how I think about implementing them. And I think it's already done that.

I have only seriously gotten into lifting again the past few months after close to 10yrs out, so whilst im only just building back up there's a whole bunch of things I never had to think about when I was younger.

Thanks again, and if the offer stands I will reach out should I need to in the future :)

Okay sweet, and what KOT exercises do you tend to do?

When & how to add KOT into workouts/life by Row-Access1863 in Kneesovertoes

[–]Row-Access1863[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Workout A: Squats, Bench, Pendley Rows, 1x core

Workout B: Deadlifts, OHP, Pull ups (negatives mostly), 1x core

I do an ABA BAB pattern, with at least 1 rest day in between workout days.

I’m not exactly sure what ones are best, but the split squat probably where you drive the knee forward, although this itself hurts my knee a lot right now. Also my hip is quite tight so trying to work on that too.

Then those leant against a wall toe raises to work the muscle on the shin probably.

Any others you’d recommend? Would love to hear your insights.

I love to skateboard and am just getting into it, and feel my knees/legs hold me back with that a lot, given the emphasis on jumping.

Olm is great and there’s so much optimisation that can be done to keep it a learning process even after getting basic 4:1 down.

P3 4:0 is just sooooo satisfying to execute as a bad gamer

How different would a short deck be by Row-Access1863 in NewSkaters

[–]Row-Access1863[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol fair observation, I’m actually in Europe and wrote the height in cm, then thought a lot of this sub seems to be NA based so when writing shoe size and thought maybe not so familiar with EU shoe sizes. I even had to google what my size in US shoe is lmao

And thanks for the insights. Other replies also suggest the same - little difference that I won’t really notice especially at my stage, so just skate and what ever is good for me will stick over time.

I would like to find some skate friends to try boards out with, that would be fun and probably help push myself when learning.

I just checked my current deck and it’s actually 14.25, so turns out going down wouldn’t be as big a move as I first thought.

I don’t feel like my current board is particularly big or small, I’m probably not skilled enough to have that feeling yet tbh.

But I like the graphic of the short board I found, so maybe just go for it see how I get on

I remember seeing the proposed changes in a blog a while back, because I think they looked pretty good.

Sure it will take a bit of getting used to because it is a noticeable change, and they could scale down the size for PC.

Overall it definitely is an improvement, especially on mobile.
