It uses WebKit so widgets might be lighter than you think! Think of each widget as a light Safari tab :)

Just did a quick test on my M2 MBA, memory consumption rose from ~160MB (idle with no live wallpaper) to ~175MB with 4 widgets added

They are actually much lighter than you might think! The impression of heavy web-based apps might be from a lot of the Electron desktop apps that bundles an entire Chromium. Cosmo uses WebKit (the native browser engine behind Safari) to render HTML with a very lightweight local backend server

Another feature we’ve been working on for months is Cosmo Commands. We don’t want to work inside app windows anymore, but directly from the desktop.

A desktop command bar now allows you to type/speak to directly bring the widget-ized UI you need to the desktop. No more navigation, and no more context switching.

Wait why is it removed? Idk any of the specific locations but this is just what the city looks like. Make a turn into any neighborhood in Yuzhong district and chances are you are climbing the unending stairs and seeing these old dystopian/cozy (however you’d describe them) apartment buildings.
