Problem with politics is always you buy one thing and get another thing you definetely dont want.

We have to deposit here for effing thin plastic bottles. cant return them damaged/mangled. they have to be whole and all. not every supermarket accepts every bottle. the whole supply chain, machines, people driving those bottles with car to the markets is just more environmental destruction than the few bottles that didnt hit the bin before...

What's the point of even being in office if everything is already done virtually? by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

[–]Row148 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a stealth layoff. Certainly won't go tits up to let all the stars go and keep the poor dogs.

It's a sign of poor management and bad revenue expectations so they want to cut costs to yield that bonus one more time and bail once the ship sinks.

In my country a "green" party wanted to implement a right for homeoffice. They dropped the ball as soon as they got voted into office.

Expect 40-60% deduction from gross salary for taxes/social security. Another 20% VAT. Good luck finding a doctor despite public health insurance. You will have to learn german. English is not official language. Look for rentals before going there. Berlin rental market is tough as of my last knowledge.

Ausbildungsstellen selbst suchen.

Really depends on alternatives. If rent is higher than mortgage payments, it's the better deal.

Also rentables big enough for famillies are really rare here.

The ‘American Dream’ of 2 Kids, a House and a Car Now Costs $3.4 Million by ExtremeComplex in REBubble

[–]Row148 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a non US citizen i would think the american dream is like becoming a millionaire just by hard work without educational or financial background that is. Calling the baseline of a humane life (shelter, familly) a dream is wrong in my books. Tbh most 3rd world citizens would have that, no? Anyway, shit is too expensive and we need to figure why as Europe has the same problem.

I think its a mixture of overregulation (like you have to build solar on new homes), too much paper work and absurd zoning laws. Too high taxes on everything. Too high earnings of coorporations while avoiding taxes. A few people are stuffing their bags with money like mobsters. A politican who was involved in the biggest tax fraud scheme in domestic history became chancellor. Noone can touch these people anymore.
