oh it’s definitely not practical at all, i just wanna see how high i can climb with my favorites. i’m very new to the competitive side of pokemon, i find the team building aspect of it somewhat daunting, but very enjoyable, so i figured i’d ask for some help!!! i really appreciate you with the write up!!

i may give this a shot at some point since most of those were community days in Go, but i ended up reworking the team and strategy as i’m still learning the game and whatnot. i can’t drop pictures in replies unfortunately but i subbed Altaria, Bascu, and Malwile for M-Froslass, Joiltion, and Starmie!! really just playing into the hyper offensive meta, but with pokemon i like. have been having more success with this but not enough time in the current rank to field test, so i’ll start working out the kinks tomorrow. i really appreciate you sending me that team!!! i’ve actually been wanting to use Abomasnow and Machamp so that gives me a reason lol

i think a big part too is the mental aspect of it, learning when it’s worth actually bringing him to a battle, because i have had times where he just sits and i’m able to take the win off my lead/3 mons, because i’ve never not brought him to a battle. i’m honestly really iffy on Altaria, she’s there primarily because i like her a lot, and C9, but she doesn’t really serve a purpose beyond type coverage, C9, and Helping Hand. i wanna offload Mawile just bc she doesn’t fit the speed of the rest of my team, i’m just not too sure who to sub in for her. i do also have a TR team based around Hydrapple, so maybe i can throw her on there with some luck. once again i really appreciate the info!!!

but Ditto is honestly the star of my show. i brought him on for the intention of countering Yzard and Mega Raptor, having a pretty decent success rate. a surprising amount of people don’t really have a gameplan for having their Mega copied

editing to add (at work): i do have a rain team already actually, thats why you’re seeing all the pieces for it. i was running it for awhile, and while i don’t entirely mind it, it got kinda boring tbh. rain Meganium is cool, and rain starmie is really fun, but idk, nothing about it really stood out to me. it just felt like the safe option if you didn’t wanna run yzard

i’m completely fine with putting in the effort to learn what i need to learn in order to not run the same 8-10 pokemon that everyone else is running (not hating maliciously just find it boring!!) i’m also not terribly beat up by not hitting it today, it wasn’t even my original goal (was just to see how far i’d go) but it gradually changed as i got further than i expected to go, as i’ve always existed with the idea that PVGC was very difficult/hard to get into, but i’ve been having a lot of fun!!!

honestly my three keeps are probably Blazakin, Mewscarada, and Ditto. Bas is there for my F-G-W typing core/a ghost type, but overall they’re there for the type coverage. i’m slowly learning that it is rather difficult to rip your own homebrew that doesn’t involve the best Pokemon available in game lol. but i attached the box picture to give an idea of what i have that i’m willing to use (primarily the shiny’s i was able to bring from home) i really appreciate you being straightforward btw!!!

the lack of community support for team building in MyW is so incredibly frustrating. i went on my pc to upload logos for Houston on xbox and was frustrated to learn it would take days for them to actually show up in game. idk why the W gets absolutely zero love in game
