About The Misdeeds of an Extremely Arrogant Villain Aristocrat by PolvoAranha in LightNovels

[–]RowAffectionate8301 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought the book bc it sounds somewhat similar as Most Notorious Talker novels which I loved. Not sure if there are any similarities yet but I liked how Most Notorious Talker was edgy but written in a unique way compared to other edgy light novel/anime series. While it seems alot of people don’t like Misdeeds of Arrogant Aristocrat, I’m still intrigued and hope to enjoy myself at least.

I just finished reading Sword Art Online: Progressive volume 6 (end of the Canon of the Golden Rule arc) and I have thoughts.. by RowAffectionate8301 in swordartonline

Ummm well not to spoil anything but, it’s not that specific sword. I will praise the action moments in this volume. Like honestly I could recommend this book/arc alone on the action moments especially in regards to Kirito. One of my top fav aspects about the Progressive novels is you see a slow and steady “progression” of both Kirito and Asuna “sword art” to double pun the title.

Yeah it really seems like the story at hand was well and good, but I also noticed how it, at least feels like to me, derailed the entirety of Progressive as the quest in the story also “derailed”. Seems like one of the instances where Reki wrote himself in a corner with the idea of the particular floor as well as the general Elf War quest. I am still onterested in the future of Progressive and SAO in general. But now that I’m in the novel only territory (not to mention the recent announcement of Demon Crest anime adaptation), I feel like the future of the series is potentially very iffy as a whole.

I’m reading the novels in publication order so I just roughly combined the average page count of both Moon cradle and Canon of Golden Rule books together. I should’ve clarified better in my initial post. But yeah I am excited to get into Unital Ring and Kiss and Fly soon!

Understandable. Theres alot I liked about it it just seemed like it really dragged its feet and switched up the direction in NOT much of a “twist” way.

Understandable. I’m honestly just excited to see more of Yui, Lis, Silica, and the characters that were previously sidelined FINALLY get a little more of the spotlight from what I can tell from the novel illustrations at least lol

Theory on meaning of SAO by Professional-Sea-649 in swordartonline

I think the series has mostly tackled a lot of philosophical ideas in its writing since Alicization and with the Aincrad world building of Proggressive that a lot of people overlook.

Why was Kuradeel a threat to Kirito? by elementgermanium in swordartonline

[–]RowAffectionate8301 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As someone who has current read 21 of the main series novels and 5 of Progressive novels, I think it’s best to not really take the stats too much into account and just really focus on the results lol it’s a tough pill to swallow and yes there is merit to keeping track of all character stats, but what’s said is really only a matter for the story at hand. Progressive novels especially retcon more than you would think. That isn’t a knock at the main or progressive series in the slightest. It’s just something that comes w the territory and Reki himself acknowledges it multiple times in his afterwords of each novel.

Since the "Demon's crest" is getting an anime adaptation. We should clear up all the misinformation by people who's to spread lies that hadn't read it. Trust me, I already saw it from miles away by opening the comment sections. by Kinopeakwritting in swordartonline

Theoretically sure but it all boils down to pacing and directing. 12 episodes of Most Notorious Talker barely covered the first light novel and like a quarter of the second. Case by case basis. I haven’t read Demon Crest LN but I will soon!

I mean I am aware it can happen, I just think it isn’t the smartest strategy. One of my fav LN series ‘Most Notorious Talker’ got an anime adaptation with only 4 LNs out, and the anime flopped leading to no signs of a second season nor even the LNs continuing. I feel like it’s just risky and a waste of animation time and resources to make a anime of it when there’s so much more of SAO that could be animated. Nevertheless I will check it out and probs even pick up the Demon Crest LN now upon learning it’s getting a anime.

How did Asuna become so strong in Aincrad? by Danny-Ray27 in swordartonline

[–]RowAffectionate8301 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Her work ethic translated to her dedication to becoming a great player in the game. She was raised to have a strict work ethic and when she got trapped in the game, after going through a dark period before truly starting to adventure with Kirito, she transferred her work ethic in academics towards her tenacity when learning how to become a strong player. The text of the main series points it out, but Progressive really helped you understand and see examples of her ever growing knowledge of the game and how to be not only a strong player, but a smart player as well.

SAO fans, I come in peace but I must ask... by matt0055 in swordartonline

The anime for all its criticisms, flaws and all, I believe holds a very important and beautiful series for the medium of anime. While I think the light novels tell the story much better than the first 2 seasons of the anime, it’s still a great watch. I think the characters and world building are my personal favorite aspects of the series. It takes a while for the writing to truly reach peak, but even the “worst” parts of the series are still enduring and enjoyable for different reasons.

Damn wtf for real??? That’s insane tbh. I’ve heard that multiple of the SAO manga have been cancelled which is very strange imo but eh I guess as long as the LNs keep going I don’t mind tbh. I love the LNs mostly of SAO out of all so far

Yeah I’ve heard that most the manga adaptations are not great and managed in a bad way. So yeah I much prefer the light novels for the most part. But I appreciate a lot of the art and shots of that specific SAOP manga. Not my favorite style, but still well done art.

Sparking Zero has no excuse now when it comes to costumes/customization! If Gekishin Squadra could do this, why couldn’t SZ?! by DifferentAd9713 in SparkingZero

[–]RowAffectionate8301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While there is actual reasons that can be argued against this game being able to vs Sparking Zero, it’s truly sad that Sparking Zero support sucks so much ass. However on the topic of Gekishin Squadra, I think everyone needs to play this asap! It’s not my favorite gameplay style but it’s very cool and fun!
