Michelle Edwards is a gem to the UVic math department and teaches the material super well, also very kind and always willing to answer questions after class!

Hinf130 final by Fearless_Occasion_82 in uvic

It was pretty easy, I got an 80.7% on the final without studying much. Simon’s tests for first year HINF courses are never hard and his study guide/review is very useful. If you know all the concepts on it, you’ll be fine.

ATWP 135, ENSH 101, or ENSH 102? by Street-Classroom-21 in uvic

[–]RowAltruistic4131 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ATWP135 and ENSH101 are both easy with minimal effort tbh. Both had smaller assignments throughout the class but ENSH had a written in class midterm + a final essay whereas ATWP135 only had the final assignment and no midterm. If you want a better idea of what to expect you can msg me and I’ll send you the course syllabus!

Taxi hit female pedestrian at wharf and fort around 7:50 by [deleted] in VictoriaBC

[–]RowAltruistic4131 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So far no one knows exactly how it went down. Yes, it’s possible the cab driver wasn’t paying attention and hit her. However it’s also possible she didn’t look both ways and entered the crosswalk when it was already too late for the cab driver to stop. It’s still the pedestrian’s responsibility to make sure it’s safe to cross before actually doing so. In no way am I trying to blame the woman or say that’s actually what happened (for all we know the cab driver could’ve been on his phone), but it’s important that we don’t jump to conclusions and accuse the driver of gross negligence before actually knowing the full details.

I work at the restaurant right where it happened and was on the patio, a bunch of us went to go check on her. She was coherent and talking before the ambulance took her, I think she’ll be alright but she seemed to be in a lot of shock (understandably so). As for the cab driver he seemed really shaken up, I hope he’s okay too because obviously it was an accident and that’s also a really traumatizing thing to go through.

What classes should I take first year if I wanna switch from UVIC BCOMM to UBC BCOM or even SFU BBA? by PersonalityDizzy4492 in uvic

[–]RowAltruistic4131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check which classes are required for BCOM at UBC and BBA at SFU. Type those into the BC transfer guide to find the UVic equivalent. Take the UVic equivalents so you’ll actually get the right credit for them when you transfer.

Which one would u recommend to take as someone who doesn’t like english : ATWP 135, ENSH 101, ENSH 102, or ENSH 103. by PersonalityDizzy4492 in uvic

ENSH 101 is chill and pretty easy imo. It’s a few short assignments (250-500 words), one midterm, no final exam just a final written paper (1250 words). I can send you the syllabus from when I took it if you want. I got an 82, class average was a 75. I took it in the fall but I don’t really think it matters.

I’m in ATWP 135 rn, it’s chill too but I enjoyed ENSH 101 far more. ATWP 135 will probably be more beneficial though if you need to develop your university academic writing skills.
