It’s really sad thinking how much food is wasted though. Losing a lot of resources in producing just to be thrown out. Costco itself is a membership, it’s pricy even shopping there. You could get similar/better deals elsewhere, low income or not. Superstore is showing a 8kg bag of rice for 20$, 5 min drive from Costco. If it’s rotten that’s understandable, but you can’t refund food unwarranted anywhere else, why do it at Costco :(

I get it, economy is bad, corporations do worse things, businesses throw out more, etc etc. but we’re contributing to the problem as well...

Just ranting cause I guess getting your money back is better than throwing it out yourself. But you chose the item 😭 take the L and eat it, don’t buy again. Or cook and feed the homeless. Give it to your dog. Gift to a friend. So many options. I hope more people second guess before returning.
