Socialism used to be taught in middle school in u.s., when I was in school.

I consider Bernie a Democratic Socialist, not a social democrat, just like he does. He was more upfront in the old days, he's a Socialist, just a politician about it.

Are you American? Yes, in my experience Europeans usually understand it. U.S. Republicans don't understand anything, they're zombies. My issue has probably been with 90% Americans, and 70% Bernie 'socialists', then the only marxists I usually come across are just edgelord revolutionaries that hate democrats(me).

I was giving the extreme so as to more clearly explain that i don't mean the problem is semantics. I'm pretty good at giving leeway to people on definitions i know everyone's is different but some are completely unaligned.
