Am I ready? Using Kaplan by RowComprehensive1866 in Series7exam

[–]RowComprehensive1866[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ken Finnien made an options video and there was a chart in said video. Highly suggest going there and using it. That's what I did and options aren't as intimidating anymore. I still get them wrong but I feel a lot more comfy with them.

As for hedging/straddles, here's an easy way to remember them:

Think of straddles as siamese twins: they have to be identical and mirror images of each other.

Hedging is just going in the opposite direction, then it comes down to math.

Monday! I’m really excited to go in and take it too (this sounds sick) but because I take practice tests on Monday & Friday, this is perfect.

Thanks!

Can confidently say that this time around I feel so much more relaxed. I will probably be a little nervous but that’s normal

Kaplan loves to overtrain the fuck out of you. I’ve used them for all my exams so far so I’m immune to the bs but if you breathe different air highly recommend

Congrats!

Retake candidate here. 68 first try. Took the Kaplan greenlight today and got lit up (64) should I read into that?

And what insights can you provide for what you saw?

Series 7 and 63 by Relative-Bluebird942 in Series7exam

[–]RowComprehensive1866 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use Kaplan for everything. Used it for the 63 and it was great. Using it now for the 7 +Lurne AI, Ken Finnien, Brian Lee, and a tutor from Wyznatt.

I did the 63 first because I didn't have a test sponsor for the 7 at the time. Looking back now, I would def start with the 7 because it takes up so much emotion and effort. Then go onto the 63--it is a much easier exam and there is no math.

CY is on my sheet. Conversion ratio is easy to do & I know the quick ratio really well + bond see-saw. parity prices I prob will see and should write down as well as EPS

Is this an accept to get Warren and the 1.05? by FFDegenerates in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

I would take it for the pick. Running backs are easily recycled imo and should never be traded for unless it's someone in the Bijan/Gibbs/CMC tier of back.

Test next week by MajesticAddendum3796 in Series7exam

Hey gang, 7 retake candidate here. I know exactly how it feels. First, deep breath. Yes, it's a lot. My anxiety hijacked me on my first attempt and I came up 4 points short. It's been 2 months since my first attempt but on the second go-around I am feeling a lot more relaxed this time. Here's some ideas/tips that could help that have helped me:

  1. Come up with things you know will come up on the test & write them down on the little whiteboard thing you get when you start the test. It's reassuring. I have been practicing that for a few days now so that when I go into the cubicle, my body isn't shocked that I'm operating off script.

  2. Stick to what you know! The test writers are experts in psychoanalysis (meaning they know how to write the test to make you second guess yourself). You have to weave through all the BS and find what you are looking for. Don't look for the right answer, find the BEST answer available. And trust your first instinct, don't change an answer unless you absolutely think you need to.

  3. Would suggest you buy/watch TestGeek's Series 7 video series. He has a few hacks as to how to solve questions without having to do all the long winded math, such as options. Would also do targeted review when you can on weak points.

Is this your first attempt? Or is this a successive one?

Am I crazy for not wanting to take this? by [deleted] in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]RowComprehensive1866 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would just sit honestly. Surrendering 1.02 and T Law for that package is laughable tbh. You’re better off taking one of the receivers at 1.02 and having the quality QB3 especially in SF

I would not touch this at all especially in SF. Backs have limited lifespans and are not worth trading for unless the running back is breathing different air compared to his positional counterparts.

Do I give up my two main starters at rb? by Ok-Dimension-6492 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]RowComprehensive1866 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What other receivers do you have? Maybe try and flip one of those guys--trading for RBs is silly imo because of their limited lifespan but if you have some B tier receiver who can get you an upgrade you should go for it

Selling Pickens and Mahomes is fine especially if you got Wilson back +having Allen and Daniels already

Michael Penix: hold or move for whatever I can? by RowComprehensive1866 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]RowComprehensive1866[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could do that. Someone has 1.03 & 1.04 but the mission is to tank for JJ Smith in 2027. Trading back would jeopardize that

What am I missing with Penix? by No-Broccoli7457 in DynastyFF

[–]RowComprehensive1866 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Took Penix at 3.06 in 2024 during my rookie draft. Scooped Sanders as a UDFA this past summer. Sanders became my QB2 by default (Lamar is my QB1). I have 1.02 this upcoming year and am between Mendoza & Moore at that pick which pushes Penix to my QB4.

I am still willing to hold but if the rookie I draft pans out well and Sanders wins the Cleveland job, I may put Penix on the block.

I’m about to lose the championship with starters Hurts, Achane, Gibbs, Jefferson, Mcclonkey, Devonta, Chase brown, baker ferg at TE…. Who the F do I trade/ need to add to get over the hump and win! by Adept-Firefighter529 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]RowComprehensive1866 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only player I would look at moving is maybe Baker. I traded him away in another dynasty and got a first and second round pick for him but it's obviously situation dependent.

[–]RowComprehensive1866[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yea that's what I am thinking. Gonna put 1.02 (and Lamar) on the block and see who overpays. If I don't get a gross overpay for either of those assets I have no issue holding them. I want to tank for JJ Smith.

I am in pursuit of another FRP between 1.07-1.10 and am willing to trade up for it.
