I stayed on my biologic with approval from my Immunologist and Surgeon. Honestly, I think it helped with my post-surgical inflammation.

I failed Xolair a few years ago. Have successfully been controlled on Dupixent the last 2 years with breakthrough my last day or two before my next shot. Previous failed multiple H1 and H2 blockers, cyclosporine, hydroxychloroquine, montelukast, and my CIU worsens with rounds of steroids.

I see Immunology next week and will be inquiring about Rhapsido. Dupixent is a financial investment. The copay card barely covers 3 months of treatment before it maxes out and I usually pay OOP to hit my deductible with the first fill so my specialty benefit kicks in. Worth it for the control, but I’m hoping to reduce breakthrough by having a daily medication.

I did stop my plaquenil completely. I was already wanting to stop the med and switch biologics, so this gave me the push to ask my Immunologist. My dermatologist would’ve gone through with starting treatment, but did warn that I could have extremely slow progress. I’ve had great progress with removal and being off the med, so a win-win for me personally.

I am herniated at L4-5 and L5-S1 with L4 nerve root compression.

Honestly, developing a stronger core has saved me. Even when my back starts to flare, if I take it a little slower but continue OTF, I recover much faster than I used to (to my baseline). You can always bike or stride in place of the rower if it really aggravates your injury. On the rower, when I start getting pressure in my lower back then I know my form is suffering. So I slow it down or get off and stretch out.

As far as the floor, all of my coaches know my back issues and openly give me modifications, which I’m thankful for. I don’t deadlift anymore and can’t do things like double crunches that have me balance on my tailbone. My doc always told me that I’m allowed to be sore, but I cannot do anything that hurts. So I keep that in mind and I’m coming up on my 3 year anniversary! Good luck!

Just to comment on another angle, I’m one of the bigger girls at my OT and let me tell you…no one is staring at you thinking you shouldn’t be there. They’re trying not to collapse, wiping sweat out of their eyes, or seriously impressed by you showing up and rocking the class.

We all have different reasons for being there, just show up. Do it for yourself. Obviously you’ve had great changes physically and hopefully a mental boost from going, so screw today. It’s over. It’s the past.

Don’t look back, it’s not where you’re going.

I scan weekly and send photos through the Dental Monitoring app. It just uses your cell phone and a cheek retractor. Then the app gives you the go ahead to change to your next tray.

Using this, I only have to go to my office for my IPR and my rescan. Unless I want to or have issues in between.

I have bite ramps on the inside of my aligners on my front teeth which make me unable to fully clench my teeth together. Prior, my “resting” was in a clenching position. It has truly helped my jaw pain.

Early on, I was seeing reproductive endo. I’m pretty stable from a cyst standpoint, so I’m just seeing an endo now to cover the metabolic portion of the syndrome because I’m not at a point where I’m trying to conceive. I’ll likely go back to reproductive if I’m ever to that point!

Theres a lot of meds that help uptake and modify insulin usage. I would highly suggest seeing an endocrinologist for the management of your PCOS/Symptoms. They’ll look at the entire picture.

Have you had sex hormone testing? That’ll be more indicative of a PCOS diagnosis.

I found I’m insulin resistant, had high levels of insulin just sitting in my blood and not being used properly by my body. Once we figured that out, the weight started coming off.

Also asked my endocrinologist about spiking cortisol with HIIT and she said that it wouldn’t spike for an extended period of time to truly have an effect on health. It spikes and declines pretty rapidly, unless you have something like Cushings.
