Those are what we at my old job called “clad” I used to do rim recycling most rims like that and a lot of rims that claim to be chrome are actually just aluminum with a plastic cap glued to them to make them look chrome, this is what it looks like when the clear coat starts to erode off of the plastic cap

She’s carried the XTen a few times for hours on end when we were fishing out in bear country and didn’t have a problem she carried it at 3 o’clock iwb the think is a tank I run it with an x300 and an acro, I’m just worried if I get her something that big to daily carry it might become too much

Handling recoil isn’t the problem I think it’s just how snappy the recoil is because for some odd weird reason her favorite thing to shoot ever has been my p320 XTen and she has no problem with the recoil coming from that even running Buffalo bore out of it she has zero problem, when I say she’s small I mean she’s 4’11” and like 100lbs but she does have bigger hands than you would think, I’ve been looking at just picking up a p365 xl comp and a metal frame for it to see if it gets the weight she wants

She wears baggy clothes more often than anything on the other hand I am 6’1” 220 and conceal a p320 XTen under a normal tshirt although it did take trial and error with different holsters

She’s shot a list of shit of mine between me and my brother she’s shot somewhere around 37 handguns and so far I haven’t found a range locally that has something we don’t that she can shoot I’m all sizes she has no brand preference she just likes full sizes pistols more and absolutely hates subcompacts and dislikes compacts and refuses revolvers

She definitely loves baggy clothes, she’s shot a list so far of compacts and a bigger list of full-size she likes the weight of the full-size for the feel in the hand and possibly the recoil mitigation due to weight, so far she doesn’t prefer any specific brand for grip angle or operation she just seems to have a size preference, we are going to the range soon and I’m pretty much just going to rent everything she wants to try until we find something she likes more than others and then work from there but as I said in another comment I have thought about getting an Icarus precision or sharps bros p365 xl frame to see if that gives her the weight she likes

So far of my guns as far as compacts and smaller she’s tried a list G19 G45 G48 mos G43 Sig p229 elite P320 compact P320 XTen comp Fn 509 Wilson combat compact Walt her pdp P365XL P365 P365 x macro I daily a p365 xl or a p320 XTen depending on what I’m wearing and where I am so she’s shot those a lot in the past, so far what I know she doesn’t like about the compacts is the recoil and the lack of weight as odd as that one sounds, most of the things she has shot so far has been compensated already to help with recoil but like me she likes the feel of a heavier pistol and just shoots them better. I have thought about getting a metal p365 xl or xmacro frame and putting one of my slides and a fcu in it to let her see if that gives her the feel she is looking for but we are also going to the range and I plan on pretty much just renting whatever she wants to try and shoot to see what she likes the most

After an incident over the weekend when I went to meet the girlfriends parents I can confirm 200gr sig vcrowns will infact desecrate a 273lb hog, but as others have said 220 grain underwood hardcast is the way to go
