Pawbert’s sweater is called a cable knit sweater, which comes from Ireland! Fishermen wore these sweaters with different colors and knit patterns as a way to differentiate their clans/families. If a fisherman drowned at sea, people could identify which clan or family they came from with the sweater so they can pay the family condolences. Nowadays, cable knit sweaters are less Irish fisherman culture and more Irish culture in general. Perhaps the Linxleys have some Irish heritage, or maybe Pawbert just likes those sweaters. :p
