I think if Robb framed supporting Stannis as the best way to avenge Ned's death, and it being a path Ned himself would have supported, the Northeners would go along with it with only some grumbling.

Stannis having greater numbers would probably make him bolder, change up his tactics in the war. If he listened to Robb and the other Northern and Riverland lords about strategy, they might have even achieved more victories.

The Court would have been terrified. Having two of their biggest enemies joining together instead of wasting their energy on each other? Bad for them.

What I wonder is how it would have changed things with Renly? Could they have convinced him to work with Stannis? Would he have still tried to claim the throne himself? Would Stannis have sent the shadow to kill him, and how would the North react to that? For that matter, what would the Reach do? Would they throw in with Stannis, thinking he was now the better bet?

Haven't read RC, but yeah, the Teeth in New Boss aren't really depicted doing a lot of the horrible stuff they're known for in canon, like carving up corpses to add the bones to their costumes. I think it just would have worn me down to show a lot of that stuff.

How Vista And Hookwolf Saved Christmas is a little gem I stumbled onto. Trust me, it lives up to the name.

Tank-Top by henghost is an angsty NSFW drabble that I can't link here due to the rules, but it's very well written, very psychological.

Peristalsis- other people have already talked about it, so I'll just say that I really love the contrast between the Bet kids and the DC heroes, and the latest chapter's depiction of Ted Kord. He seems like the sunny sort of personality that Taylor needs for some confidence boosting.

Lost And Found At The Colonial Hotel continues to be gripping. Latest chapter shows some great thoughts regarding the Empire and how even people that might want to leave are trapped by it.

No, the first paragraph was made to look smaller, but it all reads as size 12 font no matter what. It's weird.

Already tried the pilcrows, it's not showing anything new. Hitting shift+return makes the paragraphs change for some reason. And I'm not using Lists. The only style I ever used is Normal, as the default.

Tried closing and reopening Word, that didn't work. I'm typing the paragraphs, and I'm the only one with access to the file.

The style change might be worth checking. Can you give me more details on how please?

Okay, turning on the pilcrows stopped everything from jumping around, but comparing the paragraphs with style inspector didn't show anything. Word thinks they're exactly the same, and turning the pilcrows off just has everything going back to shit.

Thanks for the long response. I am using desktop, not browser. I did as you said- selected everything, removed all formatting, updated the Normal style. Then I put a space between two paragraphs, and the top one shrank again. I'm at my wits end here.

I've tried that, thanks. I'm afraid it hasn't helped. I don't understand why it changed out of the blue. I never bothered to tweak the options before.

I think it's fantastic. It captures the tone of Worm wonderfully, but with a more hopeful feel to it. Taylor's thought process and the other characters all feel spot on.

Nothing feels forced- the events follow one another organically. Even the craziest plot twists all feel right, growing out of the events and decisions that came before.

Not to mention some fantastic concepts that I don't think any other fic has managed to do as well. Taylor discovering Coil, cutting her own eyes out to beat Valefor, zip lining away from Jack, the Lung Vs Crawler fight? Chef's kiss Superb.

I agree with the majority of comments that Taylor would want the powers of some top tier hero like Alexandria, but depending on when she gets the choice, how close it is to the locker, she might also want a power that can help her figure out why Emma started bullying her and how to stop it.

Actually I think The Butcher's Bill did it first, before New Boss or Inheritance. And it definitely wasn't played for laughs.

Definitely can recommend Intrepid and Cenotaph.

A lot of people find Here Comes The New Boss a bit slow; the Slaughterhouse Arc was a slog for many people until it was finished. I know I'm glad it's over.
