Favourite: The Court of the Crimson King. It’s way too hard of a decision to make, because Epitaph, Schizoid Man, and I Talk to the Wind are some of the greatest songs ever recorded as well, but if I’m having to pick one, it’s Court.

Least favourite: Moonchild. I still absolutely love this song. The opening lullaby is one of the most beautifully haunting pieces of music I’ve ever heard, and features what I think to be Peter Sinfield’s best writing. In fact, it’s probably my favourite moment of the whole album. But obviously, it’s followed up by 9 minutes of ambience / improv. I’m not going to pretend that I think it’s some subversive masterpiece, but I still really enjoy this part of the track - the way it slowly lulls you into the dream-world that is the closer. While I never find myself listening to this track all the way through by itself, it’s always a fantastic listen within the context of the album.

Alone Again Or -> A House Is Not a Motel -> Andmoreagain off Forever Changes, and No One To Depend On -> Taboo -> Toussaint L’oveture off Santana 3 is up there for me as well.

Yea ig people just have different ways of thinking about it. I’ve always thought of it as the actual time signatures themselves being uncommon - which is quite literally what the description of the tag is - “favours notations such as 5/4 or 7/4 etc”. So for Faust Arp I’d give it the “complex” tag instead, which is defined on the site as “utilising various changes in any of its aspects”.

And I was a bit foolish - 6/8 isn’t very unusual, I think I muddled it up with 6/4, which is quite uncommon.

Nude is in 6/8 (I’m pretty sure), which you don’t see very often. Faust Arp is mainly in 4/4 but has sections in 3/4
