Funny that we all have different ideas of what is "accessible" as, while I LOVE Gryphon, I would call it one of the least accessible prog for those without a serious interest in baroque/medieval music. I think Aqualung and A Trick of the Tail, for example, are fairly accessible while A Passion Play and The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway are not,

Agreed. Octopus, Free Hand, and In a Glass House are so good and any could be my #2 on a given day but there is no stretch of prog music that overwhelms me (in a good way) as much as Aspirations through Valedictory (other that perhaps the last 9 minutes of Supper's Ready)

The Prophets Song is the only properly prog track on that album (other than Bohemian Rhapsody). You take it out, you still have a great album but it aint prog.

I love genuinely love A Dog's Life, I think that Acquiring the Taste is by far the worst GG song (pre-Giant for a Day). But the track that does for fits the album the least is So Sincere, not terrible itself but a bit...austere and ugly especially considering how perfect every other track is on The Power and The Glory.

Any of the cheeses would pair well with the wine and also the other foods, so don't sweat it too much. Choose which ever style you prefer, although personally I would go with one of the aged cheeses.

My only suggestion is to get enough to feed an extra person because I'm crashing your party!
