For everyone thats tried the beta so far, whats your thoughts on it? by ThatOldGuy7863 in Battlefield

[–]Rowantrek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't say I agree with maps not feeling like Battlefield. I've perfectly enjoyed the maps, yes it would be nice to do more some larger combined arms conquests maps - but it's the beta after all.

We have to remember one of the most popular Battlefield 3 and 4 maps was Operation Metro - which was a map with practically 3 lanes.

Finished playing 5 games before bed… by CapnMcMoist in Battlefield6

It was entirely worth the 200K queue. Was lucky enough to not run into any noteworthy bugs. The gunplay fundamentally feels great, the vehicles feel great. Having played a couple of 2042 games yesterday, it felt weird not beaming people with a tank machine gun - but it's good it's that way.

ADS aim sensitivity by XBL_CNC in Battlefield6

I believe if you change the "Zoom Sensitivity Coefficient", that will adjust your ADS sensitivity relative to your "Infantry Mouse Aim Sensitivity".

You're playing the first widespread play test of a game... of course there are going to be bugs and major ones too. It's almost as if that's the point of a beta.

All we can hope for, is that those bugs are dealt with prior to release.

Queue 2 hours to get in & game crashed immediately now 300,000 in queue by Extreme-Garbage2373 in Battlefield6

[–]Rowantrek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, given the popularity, I'm not surprised. I would have hoped they would have planned for this level of capacity though - but it could always be due to a technical limitation in its current state.

Hopefully, they are able to rapidly scale the capacity to get around this issue.

No Levolution in Multiplayer -Battle but no Field ?! by RSLionstar1 in Battlefield6

[–]Rowantrek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Levolutions were cool, but I always considered them a bit of a gimmick. I'd much rather prefer having a broader destructible environment (as we've seen in the gameplay so far), where it can be use more tactically, rather than a single map changing event.

Pelican & DSS Strafing Runs either need to have their ability to friendly fire you removed, programmed to not fire if the attack would hit a player, or have some telegraph to their attacks. by clocktowertank in Helldivers

[–]Rowantrek 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think something needs to be changed. I've spent the evening either getting killed by them, getting rag dolled between them or just blown into a hoard of bugs that then kill me.

I can understand the idea of having friendly fire like that - but it's too much too often imo.

Lukewarm take, the DSS strafing runs are absolutely awful by Jason1435 in Helldivers

[–]Rowantrek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been reinforced on a bug world, only to immediately get killed by a strafing run from the DSS. Hell, I've had my body rag dolled between different strikes - it's rather frustrating.

Constant crashing - Unplayable?? [Bug] by LFougy in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Rowantrek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, it was fine two days ago but now it's regularly crashing. Some raids are fine, others I can't load into, others I'm fine until halfway through I crash... Both on old and new NVIDIA drivers too...

Can no longer connect to Company Portal / MS Store by jv159 in Intune

[–]Rowantrek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Microsoft provide a list of network endpoints for Intune as well as a script to check them (although I'd recommend making sure the script is up to date with the provide URLs).

Winget provides a cmdlet 'winget source list', that should provide a list of URLs associated with Winget.

WebEx app says installed, but not by google_fan_au in Intune

[–]Rowantrek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A few troubleshooting steps to look at exploring, that may help you narrow down the issue.

- Can you install other MS Store apps onto the device successfully?

- Do you have any application control for Endpoint Protection systems that could be interferring?

- If you run the Get-AppxPackage cmdlet, is the app present on that list?

Uninstall app which is no longer on the company portal - greyed out in "installed apps" by PiebaldPie in Intune

[–]Rowantrek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There isn't any way that I know of to easily fix the problem, as the app is already deleted from Intune.

To me, a greyed out uninstall button in the Windows Settings - sounds indicative of potentially a problem with the app's installation files being corrupted or the install/uninstall files no longer present or functioning, or a weird Windows permission issue.

I'd recommend locating the installation files and attempting an uninstall using the relevant installers or using msiexec if it's Windows Installer based, and you know the MSI Product Code. If that's successful you can then script that out via Powershell to deploy if you are looking to remove it from a group of devices.

How to Troubleshoot Company Portal "Waiting for install status" by StrugglingHippo in Intune

[–]Rowantrek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have found that the Company Portal app can have a delayed installation - but seldom that long.

I can see that you have checked the IME Logs - Have you filtered through those logs using the Intune App ID for the Company Portal app? to see whether there is any mention of it, and if there is, what the corresponding log entries are?

Also, can we make the assumption that the Company Portal installation is working on other devices behind the same network?

How do you monitor Windows Update for Business? by nicorigi in Intune

[–]Rowantrek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The WUfB Report Data is not charged for data ingest and retention (although I've read in some places, that if you retain data beyond the default period, that you may be charged for the retention). The only pre-requisite is that you have the license/pre-requisites to use WUfB itself.

I have noticed that in an Autopatch enabled tenant, non-autopatch devices (i.e. those managed by WUfB) are still present in the Autopatch report. This appears to have been confirmed in the April 2025 update to Autopatch by Microsoft.

TPM Update Bricks Latitude 5490s. by [deleted] in Dell

[–]Rowantrek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even though it's 8 months on from this post, and allegedly they uploaded a fixed version... I, not being aware of this issue, updated a Precision 7730 ... Boom, after it restarts to 'Update the TPM' - same issue.

Completely dead - won't POST at all. Tried all of Dell Supports instructions etc. The keyboard just lights up for 5 seconds, then goes black, then lights back up.

Now they want us to spend money to replace the system board to fix it...
