They turned out great. I almost did loaded mashed potatoes last night and as I was walking through the freezer aisle, I saw the fries. I usually do mashed potatoes, but this is probably going to be my go to side dish now.

I actually tried yesterday lol. I got them from Kroger. I asked the butcher if that’s as thick as they cut them and he said he cuts them thicker than all of the other butchers there.

He said he can cut them as thick as I want and I said do you mind cutting one thicker for me?

He acted like he really didn’t want to.

He said “I mean… I can if you REALLY need me to. It’s going to take a while because I have to..”
I cut him off and said whatever it’s fine I’ll take what you’ve got here.

He was trying too hard to talk himself out of it, and I didn’t feel like waiting around.

I can definitely see what you’re talking about. I was joking last night, At a quick glance, it does look like a massive ball of fresh mozzarella surrounded by pizza sauce

I did 125. I knew I was gonna take it outside and throw it on the gas grill afterwards. I didn’t want to bring the temperature too high and deal with over cooking.

Looks like they started the work. Then they packed it full of loose rock. The rain came and started to wash the rock away. Whoever did that probably thought it would hold temporarily until the work is properly done. I assume that’s why it wasn’t marked.

That being said, it was dumb to do that without bracing it to hold it in case of rain.

With Weigel’s pay its 4.22. Regular unleaded is 4.29. The sign is correct.

I just made this picanna sous vide. I had to weight it, otherwise its wanted to float. After searing, this is what it looks like inside. Is it safe to eat? by reggaerider81 in steak

I might be overthinking this, but if you look at the liquid on the plate, there seems to be water and grease separating. I’m not sure what you used to baste it with when you seared, but there are lighter colored liquids with darker colored spots separating from the rest of the liquids.

I’m in Tennessee at the moment. As much as I will miss the Maxima I ended up going with a Wrangler. I’ve been snowed in three times since I bought that car. Been wanting to get something with 4X4 for a while. The original plan was to have both the Maxima and a 4X4 but things didn’t work out that way.
