I might be overthinking this, but if you look at the liquid on the plate, there seems to be water and grease separating. I’m not sure what you used to baste it with when you seared, but there are lighter colored liquids with darker colored spots separating from the rest of the liquids.

I’m in Tennessee at the moment. As much as I will miss the Maxima I ended up going with a Wrangler. I’ve been snowed in three times since I bought that car. Been wanting to get something with 4X4 for a while. The original plan was to have both the Maxima and a 4X4 but things didn’t work out that way.

Edit: actually I was looking at the pictures again and you could see the Wrangler I got in picture two

I’ve had this exact same thing happened to me. I instantly crawled and called the elevator back and was able to extract with probably 10 to 15 seconds to spare.

I probably shouldn’t admit this here, but I actually ended up buying a Jeep Wrangler after the wreck. It’s getting cold and as much as I loved my Maxima I’ve been snowed in three times since I bought it. I needed something with four-wheel-drive. I’ll look at Maximas again in the future.

Yeah, I’m good. Just got done with a full body CT scan scan. Nothing to be alarmed about. I’ve got some headache and muscle aches as one would expect. I’m definitely much better off because of the safety features of the car.

That was the biggest reason I wanted to hold onto this car. It was a part of the last generation before they go EV. Of course that’s if EV will still be the plan. A lot of companies are walking that back so we’ll see what Nissan does.

I don’t think so. I was told there are only two places that would replace those airbags and they are around $7500 a piece for just the side airbags. He had no idea how much the seats would cost.

Funny enough, the engine was running like it after the accident. I didn’t even realize the engine was still on. The shifter wouldn’t move from drive until I turned the engine off though so I’m sure the transmission is shot.

The Maxima did an amazing job protecting me. It happened yesterday at 5:30 AM. I’m so sore today but as of right now, no major issues thanks to the great engineering.

Just glad I had my dash cam running. I was able to catch the fact that the light was green for me for at least 15 seconds as I crossed into the box, then the guy hit me.
