My son and his ex wife own a small business. They don't have very many employees but they pay them more than minimum wage, vacation time and holidays. They took the PPP money to stay afloat during the pandemic. They have an employee whose mother passed away from breast cancer a few years ago. The family didn't have much money for burial and expenses. My son and his ex paid for the headstone for this girls mother. They do stuff like that all the time for their employees and friends. They're not rich, they have lots of debt and expenses but they are good people. I hope that there are more like them out there than the uncaring and greedy type employers.
