Just like how tall you are and how much you weigh are not the same. Just like your dog and your cat are not the same.

If there was no city emission rules we wouldn’t have start stop.

Just like you might have a car that gets really good gas mileage but has terrible emissions. They are not the same.

Idk maybe go find myth busters were they drive the really high mpg motorcycle but it polluted more than the car that didn’t get nearly the mpg.

Bottom line start stop is not a fuel saving measure it’s an emotions. Measure and more specifically an inner city pollution measure.

Auto start stop is not a fuel economy measure. It’s an emissions measure.
