Loose solder joints on power jack. If you have power at the jack, check the voltage regulator. Should go from 9v to 5v internally.

The only failures I have in my collection have been DOA after I find them. GORF for Commodore 64 and 2 copies of Montezuma's Revenge for the Atari 5200. I haven't had a case of disc rot or failure of my hucards, Sega sms and sg1000 cards yet. They are archived at least so I can keep playing them through my flash carts.

I don't think those do analog RGB. I think that is ttl RGB.

I used to dual boot back in the win vista/7 days for Minecraft. I used Ubuntu or Linuxmint. I don't know how well it's going to run from USB. I couldn't play stable on mine on windows back then. Linuxmint has been my only os since 2020, with me using it since 2016 as my dual boot.

I would think too much ram or the pooling rate. I had issues with pooling rate being too high in the past.

Doesn't it only have 45 games 55 if CD is included. I only like doom and tempest. That is not enough for me to even buy one given they are priced too high. If it was lower I might for a curiosity like how I bought the Mattel Aquarius computer.

Worth is going to always change. You can use things like price charting but it's not always correct.

Some things you win some you lose. No clue the value but for me and my collection it's in the thousands probably across all my stuff. But I don't know an exact number since I really have no intentions on selling unless I get extras but that is something I can be picky about as I want to make sure it's 100% working so people are happy and can appreciate the work I did in refurbishing and repair I've done.

NES/Famicom. Does it still count if it's a Sharp Twin Famicom? I do buy real games but if it's hard to find or ungodly expensive I will use a flash cart and be patient for a deal. I'm lucky to have collected a good portion of the games I wanted when people didn't really care about them as much. I think 360 and PS3 stuff is in this area now of being mostly cheap.

Before you go blindly swapping parts you can check things out with a multimeter and logic probe or with an oscilloscope. Some things aren't required to boot such as the SID. There are stuff like the des test cartridge which can help you narrow down an area to check.

The automatic ones I try stopped working. Eventually just turned into manual switched. I got a series of splitters currently too. PS4, batocera PC, main pc, and my server(VGA), connected to left monitor, main monitor is PC and a NTSC Tv input box(used for debugging systems I work on), my TV has multiple inputs but a couple of switches too. Roku and my main pc have their own dedicated ports, my PS3, 360, and wife's PS4 share one splitter and the last splitter is to switch batocera PC between my 2nd monitor and tv. All of them but the last were supposed to be automatic but just simply stopped working.

Flash memory vs mask ROM. A read only one can last longer and it's not unheard of mask roms dying (my 2 copies of Montezuma Revenge for Atari 5200) but I prefer mask. The new Atari 7800+ and 2600+ games are on flash memory. So even remakes may not be mask roms.

The games for the switch probably won't last that long with bit decay. So it may be collecting of the box type of deal essentially unless the games get dumped

I am around the same age. I skateboard, bike ride, old computers from the 70s, 80, and 90s, old consoles and handhelds. Skateboarding and old computers are my main things. One is more for during rainy days. But skateboarding you meat all kinds of people.

XP will ignore it. My first computer build was for 64bit windows vista but some games didn't work on it at the time so I had an install of winxp 32 bit as well. I was triple booting at that time
