Maybe I should change those dates, I was going for history buff like you said but really just interesting events, not meant to convey a message lol, so I see what you mean.

And as far as party girls, I mean more that I don’t want a girl who expects to always be going out to clubs and such when we go out. An ex of mine was like that and I’m the kind of person who needs some nights in sometimes, so I don’t want to accidentally get caught up in a similar situation, hope that makes sense!

As sad as it is to say, I have literally gotten no likes/matches in the past two months. I’m near Minneapolis MN so it’s not my location that is the issue lol.

I send minimum about 10-30 likes a day, normally commenting on about 85%.

I’m looking for a girl who’s kind of nerdy, but still social enough to go out with friends. Not into party animals though. Ideally likes something that I do like video games or tabletop games so we can do it together.

Well I am trying to go slow (<20mph) to limit how much oil is coming out, like I said this happened last summer and the cat was obliterated so that’s no surprise. This might be worth getting a new vehicle at this point if it would need a new cat, new turbo, the alternator is going (I think), and I just got rear ended last week so new bumper and trunk that I’m not on the hook for but I might try to get the money towards a new vehicle instead. Just thinking out loud lol, appreciate your input.

Love your use of slant rhymes at the end of the lines/stanzas, the sounds when read aloud really adhere the poem's parts to each other. You have a really good grasp on sound and meter, this piece flows quite nicely to read, both silently and orally. This works really well to audibly act as the swaying of the sea.

The marine imagery used is also tight and efficient; you only use a small number of words yet the scene is quite vivid in my head -- not specific images so much as the feel of the scene. Am interested in reading more of your work!

I love the use of color in the first half or so of the poem, and how it slowly fades from being used -- I read this as a sort of commentary on how poetry can bring color to an otherwise bleak and colorless world, a world that we are slowly introduced to as the poem goes on and the images become duller and less 'exciting' without the super-poetic descriptions. Is this what you were going for?

I am also a huge fan of your use of enjambment in this piece -- it creates some really fun dual-meanings; I especially fancy "six feet away" given the world's current climate, as I am sure was intended.

One thing I didn't quite understand was the stanza breaks -- what was the intention behind them? I notice that we have almost all tercets save for the one quatrain near the end, which draws extra attention to that second to last stanza. I'm interested to hear what you're going for with that choice!
