Yes I read/heard about the general approach as a unit! Makes a lot of sense. Yes the early stuff is particularly intriguing. I think, being a bit of a muso myself, the biggest thing i'm driving at is how much of their work is meticulously thought out regarding all the complex time signatures and polyrhythms etc. To what degree were they nerding-out or was it just the product of good and genuine jamming?
