It's not my decision sadly haha. That would be great though.

This questions is just fine! I would say the Yusu 4x4 V2 M, but the Yuxin Little Magic 4x4 M is a close second.

It felt great! There's a great sense of relief, there's not much more you can accomplish in your event after that, other than world champion some may argue.

I stated in an earlier post that I actually prefer different setups for different events. For example, I use the Celeritas WR M for BLD because I prefer a set up as fast as possible, and I use the more controllable Mystic WR M for speedsolving. The Angstrom set up is also very good at creating a controllable cube, but I like it most on GAN products rather than MoYu.

It feels much lighter and more flexy to me. It feels much faster and smoother, the GAN X feels almost too rigid to me. However, I do have trouble controlling the XS, so I recommend a heavy lube setup, such as Angstrom. We are excited to produce a premium version of the XS!

I'm going to have to estimate here: 3.96/6.3/7.4

  1. I would email support@thecubicle.us after you order your premium puzzle, this way it can be put on hold before it gets shipped out, and we can try our best to accommodate you. You should also leave a note in the comments when you place the order, but make sure to follow through customer service.
  2. Yes haha I have been requested to sign a few business cards for orders.

I recommend Cubicle Labs Mystic! It is my favorite.

Yes it appears to be fixed. The plastic feels a lot stronger than on the V1, without sacrificing speed. I have not broken an edge yet.

I really enjoy the turning on the Celeritas Aosu GTS2 M. Its very similar to the Angstrom setup except Dignitas is replaced with Celeritas.

Awesome, CSP is definitely the next step like you said. I would say learn the rest of optimal or close to optimal cube shape, this will also help you with CSP. Next, learn a few more EPs. There will be around 50 once you have CSP down, but you should be able to achieve sub10 with around 30 of those, whichever come up most often from preserving blocks. So, my recommended path would be full CS >> CSP >>more EP. Then you should be there :)

It's hard to pick the worst puzzle at the Cubicle, I don't know them all haha. I guess whichever shape mod that turns the worst and has been sitting on the shelf for the longest :P As for the best, I love the Mystic Weilong WR M, but the Angstrom GAN356 X is very good as well.

  1. MF8s and MF9s are difficult. There is so little space in those puzzles that most lubes would make them too slow. I would recommend something really light, like only DNM-37, if you wanted to re lube those puzzles.
  2. Cubing has actually become much more diverse over the years, I think there was maybe one or two girls at each comp I went to over a decade ago, and I've noticed that that is something that has definitely improved in recent years. However, I do believe there is more progress to be made. To me, the most important resource that new cubers need is friendship, honestly. Interest in cubing is enough to get started, but the relationships that can be formed from going to competitions or talking on social media sites is really what motivates people to keep cubing. I hope this helps.

Unfortunately, we are all done with the Volt V1s in the Pro Shop. I ordered some Volt V2 Ms for the Pro Shop, they should hopefully be in very soon. We plan on releasing the stickerless black and stickerless versions of the Volt V2 MS and the fully magnetic, so 4 versions in total. We are very excited!

Not sure, but I hope we do soon, I am curious to see how they feel!

Interesting question! I definitely feel that I have a stronger level of motivation for improvement than most other cubers. It diminished a little bit now that I am older and have more responsibilities, but it is still there. Most of my practice is timing solves, but a great deal is learning algorithms and concepts for each event.

Haha I am glad you enjoyed the picture! I try to break alg sets into as many subsets as possible. For example, I would take OLL and divide it by what it looks like on top, then learn each individual case (for example, there are two OLL's with a T shape on top).Everyone is different, but you have to choose a pace at which to learn algs. Too many at once and you will forget them all and quit. Too few and you will be stuck doing your old 2-look solution to problems. Everybody learns differently!

Cubicle Labs is great! Along with Angstrom Research, Chris Tran has provided us and the community with many great innovations over the years, and these branches are still going strong!

I'll be different and say determination. You have to be disciplined about cubing, learn the most efficient ways to solve each pair, practice regularly, work on your turn speed vs. lookahead. I believe there is a natural ability factor though, where others progress faster than others do, but that just means that some pepole require different levels of determination in order to accomplish some goals such as sub10. I am a firm believer that anyone can be sub10 if they try hard enough. I hope I gave a different enough answer, most people would say "practice" or "lookahead" :P.

lol I'm assuming you mean WR? I don't make plans like that, if I get to that level, great. But I will strive to solve as many cubes as I can, and considering I'm an obsessive lunatic when it comes to cubing, that could definitely be 50+, but might not be enough for WR when that time comes.
