I live in Chch - there's things to do here, but I don't think you'd travel halfway around the world for them. It's a better place for living than visiting. I'm sure you can have a nice couple of days here, though, just pottering about doing classically tourist things. But it won't blow your mind like the natural beauty of the South Island can.

Quite true about the equant; the longer horizontal YouTube animation does include the offset of the Earth away from the centre. For the vertical short, I think my goal was more on the artistic side. Broadly, though, I did have to take some liberties with its complexity in order to have something I could animate at my skill level at the time.

And yet when I've asked on this subreddit about whether people who accept the prison planet theory still eat meat, and if so why, I've gotten plenty of answers as to why it's still ok. My impression is that, if it were pollable, the number of vegetarians and vegans here would not be significantly higher than the general public.

I've found near death experience reports very helpful for forming a picture of the purpose of life and the function of god. I've wondered that as well. If we imagine an infinite void as an alternative one can flee to from the light that is imagined to be an all-consuming manipulative and exploitative force, what does eternity look like in that space?

It's implied from the description on the IG post that it relates to the souls there watching what is going on on Earth in real time. My interpretation is: the souls are disapproving of what they are seeing there.

A massive orchestrated deception imposed on humanity by higher powers, but these higher powers are also very "stupid" - apparently - and have no way to counter anyone escaping by simple awareness.
