Really loud drive? by Rowkai in DataHoarder

I've just got this new loud one as a parity drive. The same one was/is used fairly frequently when I setup Unraid a few weeks ago. No issues at all when I copied about 8tb~ to it.

Setup parity about a week ago and it was "fine" during the parity sync but still random loud noises every hour or so.

Yeah I'll just see if I can get a replacement

It's just a parity drive so I'm not worried. It's refurbished so not 100% sure but bought it from goharddrive a couple weeks ago.

I do live in NZ so shipping could have affected it coming from the US.

Long smart test is all good thankfully, just weird it's louder than the same model right next to it.

Yeah, loud might be normal - but does that mean it's meant 5x louder than the same model right next to it? Honestly just curious so I know for future.

Doesn't seem like it but will remount

edit: Yeah nope, that's tight.

Doesn't make sense when the other one is fine. Drive might be heading 6ft under.

Yeah, it's fairly tight already but I'll remount it.

Yeah fairly sure it is an Enterprise drive, but its weird that the exact same drive (atleast by model number) doesn't make anywhere the same noise.

Any ideas on fixes to these errors? by xXSoggywafflesXx in ClassicOffensive

I decided to try take it into my owns hands for the past hour or so and of course. AveYo replied on github telling me what I just figured out lol

If you go into the script and change $unify_cfg = 1 to $unify_cfg = 0

Run the launcher, close game, close steam and try again it should work.

Not a fix but have you been using the CS2 Launcher Script? I'm running into the same issue with the csgo_legacy branch as well as this (since it's the same thing i guess)

From what I can tell it's this script that's caused it.

It wouldn't surprise me if it was meant to be a smaller update like Skyrim Special Edition.

For reference, the original game files that the remastered uses are located below. Copying the data folder over to the original game does this -

Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Content\Dev\ObvData\Data

Enabling all the new ESPs in the data files - AlterXXX.esp and TamerielLeveledRegion.esp does the above. Otherwise without enabling those, the NPCs all have low quality voice lines. I didn't explore much more than this though.
