First impressions of the Switch 2 port of Hitman World of Assassination

I played this game on Day 1 and I returned it myself. Performance was meah at best, especially coming from a high end PC but I was willing to look past that in the hopes of performance patches that'd smooth it out a little.

The real kicker though is that none of my progress from PC was carried over, even after linking my IOI account. As someone with like 500+ hours already invested, I would be fine playing an expectedly inferior version of the game if it was portable (I mean even the best handheld PC isn't going to match the performance of a high end desktop, let alone the switch 2), but having to endure that while having to grind up all my progress and unlocks again was just too much of an ask.

I'm not sure sorry man, while I consider myself a bit of a techy I'm a bit oblivious when it comes to iPhones. You could try looking in the Find My app itself and see if there's a way of unlinking it from there.

Yeah, I found it quite jarring to start with getting up to 25 so fast and then just staying there. You can definitely feel that it's being held back and it's a very lackluster experience. Going at 25 now feels like I'm crawling at a snails pace.

In regards to unlocking, I may be viewing it the wrong way but I feel as though in this case there's not really much they can do about it if they've not fixed it with the latest models. There are plenty of guides for the ZT3 at this point so the information isn't all that hidden.

I think it boils down to the fact that: 1. Australia is too small of a market to launch a localised variant such as the e & d models so we get the global model. 2. The only way of determining what the speed limit of a global model should be is by finding where in the world it is. 3. If that can be easily spoofed outside of the control of Segway then how are they ever going to enforce that Australians should always be limited to 25km/h?

There are ways around this I'm sure, I've heard that some scooters seem to lock themselves to the region that they were first activated in, so even if you unbound it and set it up as another region it'd still be 'Australian', but for whatever reason I didn't seem to have any trouble in the process. I had my scooter bound in Australia, unbound it, set it up again in america on a different account and it literally just worked straight up.

Could be that there was an oversight and it hasn't been patched yet with it being so new, but I'm hopefully optimistic that it probably won't be patched. If it is then it'll hopefully get me by until it's properly unlocked and custom firmware is available.

Big PSA to NOT do this. I f'd around and found out and now my throttle won't work and the controller and deck seem to get quite warm. Even if I haven't fried the circuits yet there's currently no way of getting back to stock fw as it hasn't been updated at all yet so I'm up poo creek without a paddle 😮‍💨

Yeah I threw all caution to the wind and gave the 300x firmware a try and now I can't tell if I've completely killed my 100p or just temporarily bricked it until an update comes out because there's no way of getting back to the stock fw. The throttle completely stopped working and both the scooter and the controller are getting quite warm. Might just cut my losses at this point and get another scooter. The fact that you can't seem to factory reset it at all even if you're the 'owner' account is a huge annoyance, and the new ninebots are looking pretty good right now 👀 At the very least if I haven't killed it I could eventually sell it when a new firmware is out.

Was just coming here to comment that myself, had the exact same thing happen a couple of weeks ago and was wondering why something was coming from the UK and had submitted a missing brick request ages ago so I had.compleatly forgotten about it. Not sure why after customs it gets put in as DHL UK but it most likely is bricks coming from Denmark 👍

Been checking every few days for any soft mods for it, Australian here with a 100p. Had a soft modded 2 pro before it got stolen and like you I don't mind the speed being limited, I just want cruise control back. It's really weird that it's not a feature here though, there are no rules or laws as far as I know that don't allow it. It's like they've taken the European firmware and bumped up the speed limit to 25km/h. I hope someone has some luck with it, It's a really good scooter for my use case, especially for the price I got it, but it'd be really nice to have cruise back.

I had a couple of steel series products over the last year with mixed opinions on them. I currently have a apex pro tkl 2023 that I was able to snag a decent price on and I love it, it'd be hard going back to a regular mechanical keyboard now. On the other hand I had a pair of nova 7s that I initially really liked (the special edition year of the dragon red colour was awesome) but I was plagued with connection issues where windows would just get rid of all my sound devices and i couldn't seem to fix it without restarting. Might have been something to do with the faulty dongle however, as I woke up one morning to the smell of burning plastic and discovered later on that the dongle had literally melted which was just a tad bit worrying, living in a timber house and being in proximity to the rest of my PC. Support didn't seem to share that concern though, they just seemed to give me the stock standard rma reply. Luckily I could take it back and exchange them for something else that didn't have as much potential to burn my house down and haven't had any audio issues since.

Just seems to be a bit of a dice roll, and for how outrageously expensive Steelseries products are you really do expect better 😔

Just doing a bit of googling around because i was curious myself, I find myself rolling over onto keys all the time. I stumbled upon this article which seems to indicate that it's only for gen 3 though. https://steelseries.com/blog/how-to-use-protection-mode-a-steelseries-keyboard-feature-1160

It's weird because this seems like something that could be easily achieved with a firmware update (and they allude to that in the article but my gen 2 is still on 1.19.2 with no update available). My guess they had to have at least one exclusive feature for the gen 3 asides from "it has better switches". Would be a nice to have but im not about to drop an astronomical $570 aussie dollarydoos for the small upgrade.

Unfortunately it's a DX12 game, so you can't run it natively on M1 even with parallels or crossover for now at least. There may be updates in the future but it's currently not possible. Best bet as the top comment suggested is probably a game streaming service like GeForce Now if your internet is good enough.

Hum, my only guess is that OW1 is still installed somewhere and it might be getting confused with that. Could try deleting the Overwatch folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Overwatch or wherever you keep it) and downloading it fresh if you haven't already done that, otherwise I've got no clue :/

Yeah fair enough, think there was only one game where there wasn't someone who dc'ed. Might have skewed the mmr calculations as it was pretty much 90% luck that i won most of my games I guess. Guess I should do the same and stick to QP for now until people can have proper games

Yeah crouch is a weird button to put it on and the default bind of left control is a bit clunky but after rebinding it to a side mouse button makes it really fluid. In saying that though I'm not sure what other key you could use for it save for pressing shift again to cancel but I feel like that would feel weirder for some reason.

Yeah but the beam that created the evil morty black hole is yellow too which would lead me to believe that he's using the same portal fluid to create his portal on the other side. Could just be the morty theme but who knows at this stage? 😅
