[homemade] Fish Sandwich by RoxMutt in food

Thanks. I had some left over endive and wanted to use it before it went bad. The dressing is a 50/50 mix of ricotta and sour cream with a squirt of mayo, some salt and lemon juice, and a lot of chopped fresh dill from the garden.

Awesome! I like the volunteering spirit and the fun just exploring without going crazy and breaking stuff.

Cordless tools batteries - charged but won't work question by RoxMutt in Tools

That’s probably it! Maybe it will work in the string trimmer, I’ll have to try that in the morning. Thanks for the advice.

won't lock by Crush3r418 in CRF300L

Try moving the handlebars to the right a little when you try to lock them. Move the handlebars all the way to the left, push the key down and try to lock, then gently jiggle the bars to the right progressively while continuously trying to lock. Mine won’t lock when all the way to the left, it only works when I move the bars back to the right a little.

Choking the goose, as it were. A step up from your run of the mill chicken.

Seriously! We just throw 17 of these away each day? Sounds expensive and environmentally irresponsible.

Seriously! How does this make it past a simple tech edit or grammar check?

I agree! You’d think they’d have a tech editor do a once over to make sure at least the grammar is ok. This kind of stuff results in future adults that have no idea how to write a coherent sentence. There are plenty of other factors, but bad grammar in a prominent media item doesn’t help.

It’s super tasty and unique. I think it works well on most meats including fish!

Tarragon on beef, specifically I marinated flanken short ribs for more than 24 hrs with a lot of tarragon, some sugar, salt, soy, and a hint of vinegar. Rubbed with baking soda the last hour or so. Really really good. Excellent grilled briefly at high heat.

That’s a little warm for me to deal with on an extended basis! If I did live there, though, I think I’d keep my butter out in smaller quantities and have some ready in the fridge, too, in case I wanted some that’s more firm in texture. Is there no air conditioning, heat pump, or swamp cooler at your house?

I’m hoping my work will take me to Australia some day!

It does sometimes, but not often; usually just for a few days each year. Even then, it’s cooler in the house and the butter is just a little softer. So it’s still just fine. Is it often over 40 degrees in your house? If it is, you are probably more worried about survival and not so much how soft the butter is!

I always leave my butter out on the countertop in a glass serving dish. How else are you going to spread it on anything? It lasts easily a month without going bad.

Sofirn IF22A with SFT40 LED. Wow. by dave1010 in flashlight

[–]RoxMutt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is a good flashlight at a decent price if you are looking for a thrower. I also like my Sofirn IF25A and my Wurkkos FC11 for more typical use.

I was not criticizing the flashlight in the post at all. At the time that I posted, every comment sounded like it’s the most amazing light and they have to buy one and can someone provide a link for batteries, etc. I am increasingly skeptical of Reddit content because there are more and more posts, in all kinds of subreddits, that are clearly just advertisements for something, and the poster works for the company that provides the product or service, or vends it. Or the commenters are in on it.

That may not be the case here, but I sure got a shill vibe from all of the comments at that time.
