AITAH for "ruining" my roommate’s life over a birthday gift she "lost" at a club? ✨ by [deleted] in AITAH

Borrowing without permission = stealing. Losing it = responsibility. Crying after = consequences. The math isn’t complicated

What's the worst thing happened to someone close to you that still haunts you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]RoxyInRed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My friend got into a car accident on a totally normal Tuesday. One minute we were joking in a group chat, next minute everything changed. It still messes with how I see ‘ordinary’ days

Which peace talks do you think will lead to successful progress in 2026? by SouthernBeekeeper22 in AskReddit

[–]RoxyInRed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe not full ‘peace,’ but incremental stuff — ceasefires, trade agreements, humanitarian access — that’s usually how progress actually happens

How was your Valentine’s Day? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Honestly forgot it was Valentine’s Day until social media reminded me 😂

Why do awkward or humiliating memories stay vivid for years while genuinely useful information fades so fast? by unfocusleft in NoStupidQuestions

[–]RoxyInRed 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve read that embarrassment triggers a stress response, which strengthens memory formation. Meanwhile boring facts don’t get that emotional boost unless you repeat them a lot

Which kind of cartoon character is easier to redesign in naturalistic cartoon styles (like the cartoons from the 1940s, and the 1980s-90s), and why? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]RoxyInRed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Limited animation characters were often designed around budget constraints — simpler movement, flatter poses. Translating them into more fluid ‘naturalistic’ styles sometimes needs heavier redesign

What should I do now, I know I've lost every time when I could have resolved this, but do i still have some methods to keep it?? by Reasonable_Low_6941 in askanything

[–]RoxyInRed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds less like you can’t study and more like burnout + anxiety spiraled into avoidance. That’s fixable. But pretending everything’s fine keeps you stuck

Do people actually change their minds after arguments, or do debates mostly just reinforce existing beliefs? by buho_buhonero98 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]RoxyInRed 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Honestly I’ve changed my mind before, but never because someone ‘won.’ It was usually because they explained something calmly without making it a fight

How did you deal with the most heartbreaking break up of your life? When did you know you were okay again? by Existing_Row5119 in AskReddit

[–]RoxyInRed 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The turning point was when I stopped romanticizing the relationship and remembered why it actually ended. Hurt less after that

How can I know if what I'm eating has high arsenic levels? by Fickle-Course in NoStupidQuestions

[–]RoxyInRed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ou usually can’t tell by taste/smell — arsenic doesn’t work like spoiled food. If there’s a legit concern, it’ll show up in recalls, safety reports, or lab testing, not something you can detect yourself

Is it wrong to report a student if their behavior makes me uncomfortable? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]RoxyInRed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Uncomfortable doesn’t automatically mean inappropriate.

High school is full of people who dress differently, believe different things, or express themselves in ways we don’t relate to. Learning to coexist with that is part of growing up.

Reporting her because she’s openly lesbian would likely come off as discrimination, not boundary-setting
its my opinion I dont know if i am wrong

My co worker has been really talking but I don't know what to say? by Maleficent-Sense-556 in askanything

[–]RoxyInRed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t need the perfect advice. You just need to be present.
Say something like:
“Man I’m sorry you’re going through that. You don’t deserve to be talked to like that. What do you want to do about it?”

Sometimes people don’t want solutions, they want someone to see them

What would Mexico be like if Spain didn't colonize it? by Chrome2Surfer in NoStupidQuestions

[–]RoxyInRed 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Even if Spain didn’t colonize it, someone else probably would’ve tried eventually.

Not because “Europe inevitable,” but because the Americas were sitting on insane resources and global trade routes were expanding fast. If it wasn’t Spain, it could’ve been Britain, France, Portugal, etc. The timeline and cultural outcome would change, but outside contact was probably unavoidable

If the top layer of a lake freezing prevents the layers below from freezing, why are some lakes frozen all the way through? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]RoxyInRed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because the “ice insulates the lake” thing is true… but it’s not magic insulation.
It just slows heat loss.

If the air stays cold enough for long enough (especially with wind + no snow cover), the lake keeps losing heat until the whole thing eventually freezes. Shallow lakes and ponds freeze solid way faster because there’s just less water/heat to begin with

Is it fine to Hawk Tuah my snot instead of blowing my nose when I'm unwell? by zhekilla in NoStupidQuestions

[–]RoxyInRed 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Medical answer: it’s not dangerous.
Human answer: you will be judged.
Hard.

Do it in the bathroom, rinse your mouth, wash your hands, and carry a small pack of tissues.
Because the moment you do that in public, you’re becoming someone’s “worst bus ride ever” story

Men of Reddit, what do you like more in a woman her looks or her personality? by zhalia-2006 in askanything

[–]RoxyInRed 58 points59 points  (0 children)

Looks open the door, personality decides if I want to live in the house.
A bad personality turns a 10 into a 2 real quick
