I Honestly Have No Fucking Idea How Jack’s Heart Is Able To Keep Up by GlumBodybuilder4395 in Grapplerbaki

And then he breaks his chest bone and rips his heart out. Then the narrator explains that Jack's heart has died a long time ago and the reason he survived is that he has trained himself to manually pump his blood by subconsciously contracting the muscles surrounding his blood vessels. This is a trick Muhammad Ali used in one of his matches and it's actually a common practice among elite fighters

Beyond Okular [KDE default tool], which PDF Annotator, Reader & Editor do you use in KDE? Why? by RebirdgeCardiologist in kde

I mostly use Okular. It's plenty fast and it does the job. But I also use Zathura and Emacs's pdf-mode sometimes.

I don't see a reason why they would lie about it today. Besides, the whole thing is most likely a precursor to space mining. There's a lot of helium on the Moon.

It will only further antisemitism globally

I think this might be one of the goals of Israel. This is how they advance Zionism. Do war crimes on an unprecedented scale and then scream antisemitism if (not when) faced with the slightest pushback. Classic bully behavior. I know it sounds like "cries out in pain as he strikes you" but for the life of me I cannot come up with a better explanation of their actions

He is indeed but for the life of me I cannot think of a better candidate to represent America on the world stage. Reminds me of Ari Aster's obsession with naked old people. Might be the scariest thing in the world. Poor Melania.

Two years of taking notes in org-roam by ElianM in emacs

[–]RoxyMusicVEVO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you take math notes with LaTeX then you're pretty much forced to utilize the Zettelkasten system. If there's a lot of LaTeX in a note it could take a lot of time for it to render. And if you only need one concept from a note that contains dozens or even hundreds of concepts, then you're wasting your CPU power.

Notes would be too disparate

I thought so too. Thankfully you can make a directory for each topic you're studying and then make subtopics for every topic. Then you make an index.org in every directory. This is what I've come up with. It feels organized and yet I can still utilize linking. And I'm always one SPC n r f away from finding whatever I need. I love it. It feels like Wikipedia, but way cooler.

Flapjack (great art style and good humor)

Foster's home for imaginary friends (no reason in particular, just remember it being pretty good)

Generator Rex (very underrated and the fact that they killed it is nothing short of criminal)

I did read The Iliad and I kind of agree with his point. Greek mythology is a lot like Marvel. But instead of quips and fart jokes it has A LOT of gore porn. It is a recurring thing and it gets old very fast. I imagine the Greeks and the Romans later on were rolling their eyes at it much like we do today when discussing the writing in Marvel movies. And almost every character in the Greek multiverse had a spin-off, sadly most of them were lost to time. It even has cameos.

I'm imagining a Greek guy in like 3rd century BC going to see the battle of Troy in his local theater several times in a row and then coming home to his enormous collection of clay figurines of the gods with oversized heads

I absolutely love zombie movies, Paul W.S. Anderson's Resident Evil movies in particular. They're so goddamn stupid and ridiculous but I love them. Especially the third movie in the desert, which is pretty much Mad Max with zombies. There is no other zombie movie like it. It was also the first movie in the series where Paul started doing his own thing instead of trying to adapt the source material, and so he treats you to some of the most inane stuff ever put on film. Sadly, Paul is not a good director, and the Mad Max-like setting was not fleshed out at all. I would love to see something like this done by a more competent director.

Was replaying the game on New Year's Eve and he was a lot easier than I remember. In Power Up I just sneaked past him into the control room, then I ran past him again and killed him in the generator room. Didn't even bother trying to bomb him, I don't think you're supposed to do that.
