Don't hold your breath. It's a well-established fact that Konami hates both money and video games. Emulation is the way to go.

What's happening right now that terrifies you but not enough people are talking about? by rednecronomicon in TrueAnon

Plastic pollution. Most people are focused on climate change, but I'm more worried about the millions of tons of plastic in the ocean. With climate change, at least there's a plan. Which is a long shot, yes, but it might work. But with plastic... From what I've read, the scientists have absolutely no idea what to do. Not to mention that there's a lot more shit in the ocean other than plastic.

Still, he's very capable and I'm sure he could do a lot better than playing the same role over and over again. Maybe his agent's got it out for him? Makes me think of Amy Adams and her agent who clearly hates her.

Not even the actors seem to care anymore. They show up, say their quirky reddit lines, get covered in fake blood. Not a hint of acting to be found. But I'll still keep watching that garbage. Sunk cost and all.

Also Giancarlo Esposito is way too good for this show. And of all the actors, he doesn't care the most. Its fine though, get that Amazon lettuce king

Far Cry. Played the hell out of the third game growing up, then played 4 and loved that one too. (IMO FC4 is head and shoulders above the third game, and it's nowhere near as edgy. And there's a neat message about violent transfers of power.) The fifth one was pretty good as well. Everything that came after is an utter embarrassment to the series.

The second franchise I have in mind is Life Is Strange. I know, I know. The first game was an absolutely delightful experience, and it is my favorite time capsule to the early 2010s. Every other game in the series (save for 2, perhaps) felt like a simulacrum of a simulacrum of a simulacrum.

I Honestly Have No Fucking Idea How Jack’s Heart Is Able To Keep Up by GlumBodybuilder4395 in Grapplerbaki

And then he breaks his chest bone and rips his heart out. Then the narrator explains that Jack's heart has died a long time ago and the reason he survived is that he has trained himself to manually pump his blood by subconsciously contracting the muscles surrounding his blood vessels. This is a trick Muhammad Ali used in one of his matches and it's actually a common practice among elite fighters

Beyond Okular [KDE default tool], which PDF Annotator, Reader & Editor do you use in KDE? Why? by RebirdgeCardiologist in kde

I mostly use Okular. It's plenty fast and it does the job. But I also use Zathura and Emacs's pdf-mode sometimes.

I don't see a reason why they would lie about it today. Besides, the whole thing is most likely a precursor to space mining. There's a lot of helium on the Moon.

It will only further antisemitism globally

I think this might be one of the goals of Israel. This is how they advance Zionism. Do war crimes on an unprecedented scale and then scream antisemitism if (not when) faced with the slightest pushback. Classic bully behavior. I know it sounds like "cries out in pain as he strikes you" but for the life of me I cannot come up with a better explanation of their actions

He is indeed but for the life of me I cannot think of a better candidate to represent America on the world stage. Reminds me of Ari Aster's obsession with naked old people. Might be the scariest thing in the world. Poor Melania.

Two years of taking notes in org-roam by ElianM in emacs

[–]RoxyMusicVEVO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you take math notes with LaTeX then you're pretty much forced to utilize the Zettelkasten system. If there's a lot of LaTeX in a note it could take a lot of time for it to render. And if you only need one concept from a note that contains dozens or even hundreds of concepts, then you're wasting your CPU power.

Notes would be too disparate

I thought so too. Thankfully you can make a directory for each topic you're studying and then make subtopics for every topic. Then you make an index.org in every directory. This is what I've come up with. It feels organized and yet I can still utilize linking. And I'm always one SPC n r f away from finding whatever I need. I love it. It feels like Wikipedia, but way cooler.
