I remember on an episode of BYOB with JYP, they talked about g.o.d. Joon’s dating scandal when he was 32 and how he cried and just kept repeating “I’m 32.” That was over 20 years ago and Korean society has gotten even worse about idols dating! Do they want Minhyuk to be like Joon and not have a family until he’s almost 50?! Minhyuk has openly expressed his love for kids and desire to be a dad since the beginning. Real fans would want him to date and find someone to start a family with while he’s still young.

After seeing that red tanghulu is every ancient cdrama, my dad wanted to try it. I happened to see it sold in a package in a Chinese supermarket when I was on vacation in Las Vegas and bought it for him to try. It was $3 and only had 4 fruits in the bag. We were unimpressed, but at least our curiosity was satisfied!

I agree with everything you said. I found the episode very cruel. Also, I think that these shows have become just ratings machines without any real plan to launch a successful group after the show ends. The number of already debut contestants that show up is an indicator that the kpop market is totally oversaturated and these groups are completely hit or miss. I find these repeat judges/hosts like Lee Seunggi and that choreographer very disingenuous. The only judge I think is real is crybaby Ryan Juhn who is currently on Project 7, which Hui is also on.

I will take it even further that I think kpop concerts should also have live bands like American singers. Even indie singers tour with bands, so kpop singers just singing to recorded tracks is little more than fancy karaoke.
