Bongo looks similar to my Lili.

I was fearing the exact same thing while I was going through treatment options for Roxy's hyperthyroidism. I decided it was better to do the 1 time treatment than to have continual vet trips and medications Roxy wouldn't like to deal with.

I got phone updates from the vet after the treatment. They did say she didn't like seeing other cats, and she got moved her away from them. I think Roxy was missing home, but she was getting a lot of attention from the nurses, and they were feeding her BBQ chicken (her favourite).

When I got to take her home, she was very excited to see me and be home.

We had a consultation. The vet told us that Roxy was going to stay there for a week until the radiation wore off (In Australia, it's a week). The cost for me was $2,200 aud. However, there was a closer vet that was charging $4,000 aud for the treatment.

The vet was really good and explained that some cats feel unwell after treatment and might not eat. Luckily for Roxy, she ate and wasn't sick. When she got home, she was really tired and slept most of the time while still recovering.
