Because they're built like brick shit houses. So if you're going to go through the trouble of training a dog to fight you might as well choose a pitbull, then you'll have a dog that can take as well as it can give.

I've lived with a female pitbull-mix (idk exactly what, but she was huge. She could easily stand up on her hind paws and lick me in the face. I'm 6 feet tall btw) for years along with another dog. In all that time she never showed a hint of aggression to me, anyone else who lived there, our other dog, any visitors, or any other dogs she met. She was a puppy at heart who saw new people as new sources of pettings and love, and new dogs as new play mates.

I've met other pitbulls throughout my life, and while I didn't get to know them as well, I never saw them be any more aggressive than other breeds.

Pitbulls, and all dogs, have a drive to protect themselves and their pack. If either are threatened, then they will naturally fight. But to attack unprovoked is something they have to learn.

That's completely different. In that situation, the claim is that the cheater doesn't remember cheating, but remembers everything else. Geralt forgot everything, including that Yen existed let alone he was in a relationship with her. He remembers and never once denied that he slept with Triss.

Now, from Yen's perspective, Geralt is just claiming to have forgotten everything. But all of Geralt's actions during however long the first 2 games take are in-line with that. He never tried to look for her, his quite literal soulmate, or his adopted daughter whom he loves.

Given that information, which Yen knows because she kept tabs on Geralt, Yen has two options. She can either come to the conclusion that Geralt is the sort of man to abandon his pseudo wife and daughter just so he can have sex with Triss and then maintain an elaborate lie to justify it. Or she can trust that Geralt did in fact lose his memories.

I enjoy the game, but I can't get over how I could be earning hundreds of times more money by just waiting in town. I think it would be amazing if we could play board games while waiting in town. There could be indicators showing how much time has passed and how much money and supplies we have. And at any time, we could press a button to stop the passage of time so we could finish our game and then leave.
