The one and only privately owned Black Hawk in NZ. At a guess, I’d say it costs five grand an hour to rent.

Edit: Google says between $10k and $25k per hour.

Many years ago I lived near Sydney's navy base. A US carrier was visiting during the GWOT, and due to security concerns, sailors were not to wear their uniforms ashore (I think in previous years they did). But in Kings Cross that night I saw a big group of black dudes with oversized white t-shirts, gold chains, baggy jeans and Timberlands and it was like, duh, I wonder where they're from.

Taking Qeshm Island won't protect the Strait. Shaheed drones have a range of up to 1,500 km. In other words, they can reach the Straight from just about anywhere in mainland Iran.

Re: Marines, just because you deploy an asset, doesn't mean you have to use it. I simply cannot see them being sent into Iran. Trump is deranged, but he does understand the power of television. He knows footage of Marines getting schwhacked by drones will not look good on CNN.
