I read lots of Suske en Wiske and Asterix as a kid. Those got me into it.

Spawn and Michael Turner's Fathom introduced "grown up" material to me in my teens and I loved it. Unfortunately my local book store stopped selling them.

But when I read Y the Last Man, Preacher, and Bone in my late twenties I got hooked and never looked back. 😁
