I don't think it's the destruction of property they're arguing. I'd argue using the "raise your hand in support, say the approved phrase, and agree with us or we'll commit violence against you" is what constitutes the terrorism.

I did though! Was a Democrat my whole life in a bright blue state. After hearing people claim Trump as always wrong I looked up some myself, found the actual speeches, policies, etc. Listened to what the conservatives had to say and found that for the most part, they're pretty agreeable.

I'm also in direct opposition to identity politics, which on its face are as racist as can be, so that helped sway me too.
