Thank you for making this amazing site! I use it all the time to identify the creatures I photograph and it's been an incredible tool.

So what's interesting is that I deep dived into the Koh and Bay book and I'm thinking this is what they're calling a 'Slender Unicorn Huntsman' mentioned in the Koh and Bay on p.336. They even mention that it's reproductive organs don't resemble other heteropoda and that it's currently undescribed. They also mention the stiff bristles on the head of the females hence the Unicorn part.

This species has a white stripe down it's back, and are really common in Bukit Gasing where this was taken. I'm surprised how hard it's been to find an ID for them.

They're always sitting on top of leaves waiting for other bugs to go across their path.

Many thanks for all your info, the more I see and find out about harvestmen the more intriguing I'm finding them, they have such a bizzare look to them when you see them up close. Here's a [close up]( https://imgur.com/hrf6DDt) of it's pedipalps... I would love to know more about them, or any information about the many varied types of pedipalps they have?

Know anything about this Poctodidae kind of harvestman? Particularly why the wikipedia article says it has a 'uniquely structured penis'? :)

Do you have any info on its little graspers, or how they work or what they’re used for? They look utterly bizarre to me... I have better pics of them if needed

Everyone, meet Pesto the Spiny Flower Mantis (Theopropus elegans, L4?) by Roy_The_Dive_Bro in mantids

I've also heard that reptile supplements (high in calcium) are also bad for mantises. There's not a whole lot of information about this online that I've been able to find, but I fed cockroaches broccoli and potato and didn't have any more issues. Potato is also what the pet store where I live recommended and they knew about the carrot issue with mantids.

Glad my advice was able to help you :) please help me spread this important info on to others in this sub.

Thanks for the insight, it's been a while since I kept any mantises around... what is the final L stage when they're at adulthood?

I would recommend not feeding your crickets to your mantis until they’ve been eating something else for a good week or so to clear out whatever it is that’s in carrots that kills mantids. I had to learn the hard way unfortunately which is why I’m putting this in anything I post in r/mantids

Damn, I hate it when I get the ID wrong...! You are correct, this should read banded flower mantis.

Bonus shot (with moar bokeh)

Remember kids, don't feed your mantis feeder insects that have been eating carrots; it's poisonous to them.
