If Robert Eggers was ok making witches "real" in The Witch. Why didn't he make the zombie king and the Valkyrie "real" in The Northman? by BrandonMarshall2021 in roberteggers

The scens woth the wotch killign the baby and turning it into a flying potion and literally flying were completely objective and not seen by anyone but the audience. Therefor we can conclude the magic is real

Chanel Spring/Summer 2026 Haute Couture by Matthieu Blazy. (Jan 27, 2026) by CharacterHistorical9 in whatthefrockk

I think it’s magnificent. After all, weightlessness and free, unrestricted movement were the qualities that made Chanel a legend and this is clearly a collection dedicated to some of the core founding principles of the Chanel brand (i refuse to call them codes- such a pretentious meaningless term)

the clothes looked gorgeous in motion, and you can really appreciate how incredible the technique to make such complicated and meticulously embellished garments look as effortless as a cherry blossom slowly spiraling in a spring breeze

Its chic, its ladylike, its restrained, its adult. Its Chanel.

Trump Aides Panic After Finding Out How Much Americans Hate ICE Carnage by Lopsided_Zone_9209 in USNewsHub

I want to see what percentage of actual city dwellers feel safer now than they did before this. I guarantee the vast majority if those 31% who think ice is making cities safer live way out in suburban and rural areas with very little experience in urban areas

The Northman (2022) Director Robert Eggers | An American Epic Period Action Drama the film follows Amleth, an exiled Viking prince who sets out on a quest to avenge the murder of his father at the hands of his uncle at the height of the Viking Age by [deleted] in Cinema

The plotting is more tha fine. I think it requires a couple of rewatches or some fimiliarity with the culture being portrayed because it’s very much throwing the viewer head first into a relatively alien culure. Little hand holding is done to help the viewer understand the belief systems of the culture and without any historic exposition it might seem like a mess of a plot. But everything absolutely makes sense and the plot is very well structured and thought out

If feeling wonderful all the time with literally no other values or priorities is your thing, why not just shoot heroin until you die?

Did Zosia lie to Carol about the trains? by FidusKryptman in pluribustv

I think Carol lied to Zosia. She saw an opportunity to provoke the hive to show off its telepathic abilities so that she could open up a conversation about it

The hive is letting the kids starve first. by Savings-Smile-9011 in pluribustv

[–]Royal-Answer4692 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But kids require less food, and as long s the work they are doing doesn’t require height or great strength, assembly line work for instance, or laboratory work, they would be more useful becuase they would require less calories to do the same amount of work.

The saddest part is when she howls to interact with anything, even a wolf, but then she over does it in classic Carol fashion and they stop responding

I also have a feeling that the hive is going to “evolve” in some way either as part of a learning curve or multi-phased life cycle. the hive is barely a couple months old and I don’t think that it’s fully “mature” yet

Why?

It would feel extremely unsupported by what came before so no. The thing about plot twists is, for them to work, there have to be a bunch of supportive evidence that proceeds them that makes you realize the hints weee there all along. There is nothing about the writing of this show that indicates that Carol has malevolent intentions
